This location is way over priced compared to other locations with the exact same materials.

Karensss at their finest.. don’t go to this store unless you want to have a horrible day. They’re all ready to fight within the first question you ask them, you have to carry heavy rolls of fabric on your shoulders around the store because your not allowed to place it at the empty tables there... very rude and impatient oldies who seem to be forced to work there. The best fabric land I always go to is in Pickering but I didn’t know that’s a different company than this one. Even their prices are different.. be careful folks

Couldn't find a magnifying glass. Store was clean. Some of the fabric stands were too close for me to get through. Staff was very helpful.

Not impressed. We purchased all the materials needed to recover a boat seat including vinyl, heavy duty needles ($20) and special thread ($12). When we called the marina we learned that the job had been done over the winter. We didn't expect Fabricland to refund the money for the vinyl which had been cut but refusing to take the other things back simply because it was 2 days over the 7 day return time frame? Ridiculous!! The stuff was clearly untouched and completely useless to us now. I know this is not a large amount of money but this is the sort of customer service that makes people decide where to go the next time they want to make a purchase. Won't be Fabricland for us!

Today I was excited about getting started on a DIY. So I headed toward FabricLand at Kendalwood Plaza. As I entered the store as someone who has no experience with fabrics or sewing it was overwhelming. I waited my turn and asked my questions with a response that was matter of fact, harsh totally not connected to me as a customer. The older sales lady showed me where the fabric I was inquiring about with very little enthusiasm almost as if I was wasting her time. I exused myself and said ok ill look through the fabric. Once I was there I saw another older lady and in my head I thought ok maybe I'll have a more pleasant interaction with my fabric measuring etc. Well I did not, she to was just as miserable again completely rude with her tone, her I can't be bothered attitude. I felt instead of a customer I felt I was wasting their time and frankly annoying her. I had enough and said that's fine I'm not buying the fabric, I told her how I felt she approached me as well as the first lady approached me. She said I was explaining it to you. I said sure you were tending to me but it was the mannerism it was conducted. There is a horrible feeling in that store I left and promised myself I will never step foot in there again and I will damn well tell everyone about the customer care in there. I left and found the fabric I needed with pleasant interaction and I felt I put my money where it should have been spent. Shame on you fabricland if you are not enjoying your job with interacting with people time to retire. Life is short go and find your joy!

I visited your store yesterday to purchase material for a new project. I picked up some small things I needed and went to the cash to pay for the items and to get some advice. The lady at the cash turned, looked at me and went right on with what she was doing. I stood and waited but she never acknowledged that I was even there. I ended up leaving the item on the counter. I will not be returning to this location. Extremely rude!

I went to purchase a specific omnigrid ruler size to make the project I was working on a bit easier. The ruler I wanted was about $35 on Amazon and in some local quilt stores where I normally shop for them. The online fabricland store had it listed for $33. Fabricland Whitby was the only place open in the evening and when I went there, the same ruler was $75! I explained the discrepancy I noticed and the store employee confirmed that the price was $75. All of the rulers were insanely priced. I've visited Fabricland a few times since moving to the area but never purchased anything because the staff has either been neutral or they have been outright rude. For example, one time a staff member rolled her eyes at me and sighed when I asked if she thought there would be at least 5 metres on the roll of fabric because that was the amount I needed. I'm hoping to warn other customers so they don't fall victim to the price gouging. You can also get high quality brand name quilting cottons online and at other local shops for the same price or less than Fabricland's shoddy quality fabric.

I was helped by a really lovely person named Tyler who provided suggestions for my dress project and was knowledgeable about what would work best. Izzy at the cash was also very nice and helped me right away. I appreciate how helpful everyone was, and the selection of fabric was awesome! I found what I was looking for in the clearance section and I'm very excited to work on it! Thank you so much! Keep up the great work.
