I set a preauthorized payment to pay my rent and once they took more money than the rent from my account! Terrible terrible management.

After two or three emails, while they have done nothing about it, they are saying that this subject is done and closed and they can answer anymore. Their behavior is kind of disrespectful and They do not really care about it. I warn you if you want to rent a house from them.

Our new building manager was consistently incompetent, and did not answer any of our emails and whenever asked in person he was, "on top of it". In summer they hired contractors to install a new patio door, and when my brother and I came back home from work we discovered that there was damage done to the unit, some of our possessions were stolen and food eaten, and they had also tried using my computer and left in a chew up USB cord. When pressed, nothing came out of it from either our building manager or from Elton Construction. We chose to move out because of this, and the building manager was entirely unhelpful and made our lives more difficult by having his two underage children run errands (such as bringing us keys to the elevator). Which by the way, is an adult-only building, and it became obvious that his kids were moved into the building as they were storing their bikes in the lobby storage closet. I'd avoid renting with this company, but especially at the Edgehill. Would you trust two boys under 14 with keys and access to every unit or space in the building? I sure wouldn't.
H	HP Sam on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a terrible company with pathetic and rude management. I was renting in the Avalon and I lived there for almost 3 years in two different units. When I left, I spent two days cleaning everything. Later, the Avalon's janitor checked the unit and sent me some pictures of some spots that wasn't cleaned as they wanted. One picture was taken from my Canon camera that I left behind in the unit the last day I was cleaning. I agreed to pay max $240 (8 hr cleaning at $30/h) for the the "not so cleaned spots". The janitor misled me, letting me believe this will cover for the rest of the cleaning. It was too much but based on my previous bad experience with the previous unit, I wanted to be done with them. Later, I received a notice charging me $621 for the cleaning and when I asked for my camera, I was told the janitor threw in the garbage! which I found very hard to believe. Any idiot can tell a Canon camera from garbage stuff. After couple of phone calls and threatening the company to pursuit them in court, I was able to get $201 back but they managed to rip off almost half of my deposit. If you are renting a unit managed by this company, be very careful. The day you take possession and the day you leave, take as much as pictures as you can, you might need them later. Also, DO NOT trust them at all, especially the janitor. Working with them was my worst experience. I would have rated them zero if I could.
