★ ★ ★ ★ ★ WhistlerBlackcomb has a very good ski school but Extremely Canadian is off the charts. They took me from a high intermediate to advanced level.
Highly recommended if you have any interest in skiing off piste.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hubby and I signed up for a Steeps Clinic. I’d say we’re both advanced intermediate skiers. He is far more adventurous off piste than I am, but I try and keep up.
We were both impressed with the course. We particularly liked that there was a “ski off” to sort everyone into groups of appropriate skill level.
Our instructor (JF) knew the mountain extremely well and took us on several traverses and boot packs to well-hidden, sometimes unmarked runs. We felt lucky to have access to so much “untracked” terrain we otherwise never would have found.
I was on the edge of my comfort level both days, but JF checked in often to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and the terrain. We had lots of opportunity to practice new skills (jump turns) or new applications of skills (side slips into chutes).
Each time we needed to execute a skill “with consequences” if we screwed up, JF carefully explained what was needed, and could usually point out an easier option if anyone wasn’t feeling up to the task - which was rare.
I would definitely take this class again. Leaving the class my skiing toolbox is bigger, I know what I need to keep working on, and I already feel much more competent and confident tackling more difficult terrain than I did before.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was my second year in a row skiing with Extremely Canadian and I had a blast! It really improved my technique and it took my skiing to the next level. Both Karen and Graeme were amazing instructors who helped me figure out exactly what I needed to work on and I got to practice it throughout the day. We had a small group (just two of us) They also took us to really fun and challenging terrain. One of my best skiing experiences ever, I can't wait to return next year!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My original plans with a different company were cancelled last minute, but Extremely Canadian came through big time! Rose was super helpful in getting everything booked last minute and I ended up doing a 2 day steeps clinic and a private ski touring day.
Gavin was a phenomenal guide on the steeps clinic, he took me to some awesome terrain I never would have gone by myself and helped me improve as a skier. I was extremely happy with how considerate he was of my limits and not pushing past them.
Keith was my guide in the backcountry and he was incredible. Calm and super knowledgeable, couldn't have asked for anything else. Pushed my limits just enough that I had a thrilling day, but without going too far. Skiing down Husume was a great way to finish off my time in Whistler.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yesterday I attended an event (We rise) organized by Extremely Canadian and Rossignol. It was well put together with amazing instructors. Our instructor Caroline was so good at guiding & teaching tips, especially for me switching from snowboarding to skiing. Our group enjoyed every moment of our day with Caroline. I highly recommend Extremely Canadian. I am now more confident on my skis, better with my poles and can explore more terrain. Thank you Extremely Canadian! Thank you Caroline!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chelsea was an incredible backcountry guide. Naturally intuitive regarding pace and group dynamics, but also extremely knowledgeable and a fantastic teacher. Wish I'd done my AST-1 with her and will definitely be seeking her out for AST-2. Overall the company goes above and beyond to make sure you get the most out of the mountains! Thanks to Chelsea and Claudia!
