Matt Wild
Matt is the head coach and owner of MW Strength & Development. Matt’s background began with years as a hockey and baseball athlete. After injuries stalled his athletic development, he dove head-first into the world of exercise science; studying at both Thompson Rivers and Mount Royal University.
Matt’s passion for helping others comes from his own struggles with health, injuries and stalled athletic progress throughout his youth. In learning how to improve his own position in health and in life, he was inspired to help others like himself change their lives and do the same.
Utilizing time-tested methods and a knowledge of functional anatomy along with the most cutting edge evidence-backed training techniques, Matt’s focus is to take you to new levels of health and well-being in the most efficient way possible. With years of experience in the industry, Matt is able to help a broad range of people achieve their health, wellness, and performance goals; concurrently improving resilience in all areas of life. Whether your goals are to: reduce pain, rehabilitate/resume activity, build muscle & strength, improve longevity and quality of life, or you are an athlete looking to take your physical and mental performance to new heights, Matt has the knowledge and experience to guide you there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This Evolve location shocked me a little bit when I entered. As soon as you enter the door, you're in the gym. You're closer to someone benching than the front desk. Not an issue at all, I've just never experienced that before.
Aside from that, they have all the staples that Evolve is now known for, including a well planned floor space with areas for general fitness, powerlifting, weightlifting, CrossFit style training, and lots of space to train whatever you want on the turf.
They also officially have the heaviest plates I've ever seen (and probably ever will see) at 50kgs.
