The Etribe Network developed the “Elder Approved” Indigenous Brand Security System to protect and verify True Indigenous Branded Products and Services. The goal of the “Elder Approved” system is to protect our Indigenous products and services from being counterfeited, duplicated or misrepresented by Non-Indigenous people globally. The “Elder Approved” system will track and verify that All registered Indigenous products and services stamped and cataloged will be a minimum 51% owned by Indigenous Peoples/Person and also passes a vigorous “green” and “sustainable” list of criteria to be classified as “Elder Approved”.
Example:
1) Dream-catchers made by Ojibway Elder of Garden River First Nation made of sustainable components gathered traditionally WOULD BE CONSIDERED “ELDER APPROVED”
2) Dream-catchers made in China, manufactured by non-indigenous people and made of non-sustainable components WOULD NOT BE “ELDER APPROVED” under the guidelines set out within the “Elder Approved” system
