As a parent who is very happy with his child's progress in learning guitar I know it all comes down to Ryan. He has been able to keep my active kid excited and willing to go to guitar lessons for 2 years now, nothing else has lasted this long (ok maybe Fortnite ;). Ryan is very engaging and when pickup time comes my son is usually grinning. As well he can even play some songs, and is working on strumming and occasionally trying his own thing. I enthusiastically recommend Ryan for anyone with kids who would like to learn guitar.

Ryan is an excellent, knowledgeable and dedicated teacher. Before taking you on as a student, Ryan engages you in a private one-on-one session to gauge your ability and understand your guitar goals. He uses this session as a basis to formulate a progression plan. The teaching sessions are group oriented but Ryan always finds a way to have one-on-one coaching to offer feedback and improvement tips geared towards achieving your ambitions. I would recommend Etobicoke Guitar School to any level of guitarist looking to improve their playing.

I'm really glad that I came across Etobicoke Guitar School when I was looking for guitar classes. Had absolutely no idea how to play and Ryan has been a wonderful teacher helping me get better at it for the past one year. He has a lot of patience and gives his best to ensure that you reach your maximum potential. The classes are in a group but Ryan sees to it that he talks to every one in the class and see how they are going about it. And needless to say, every class has been absolutely fun. Totally recommend to anyone who is willing to learn guitar.

I have been attending classes at the Etobicoke Guitar School for over a year now (before the pandemic hit) and I am having a blast. I have wanted to learn a musical instrument since high school. I fiddled on and off trying to learn by myself for many years. I even got a guitar from my son about 12 years ago and tried again to learn by myself, but it didn’t go anywhere. Needless to say, I started with Ryan from pretty much square one. I needed the consistency and encouragement of the lessons I get from Ryan. He is very patient with me and helps me work through my problems. He does an excellent job of tailoring his feedback and teaching to your individual needs. I have also found him ready and willing to help me with a multitude of music related questions I have had relating to equipment, etc. Ryan provides several different streams so that you can match your abilities and desires to what he is teaching, but one of the other interesting things he does is to occasionally provide an optional master class to teach a guitar topic which is outside the normal curriculum of the classes. In one case it was related to guitar maintenance, in another it related to a different role than we were used to. This gives an extra interest to the lessons and I am looking forward to what other such topics he comes up with in the future. I should have started doing this earlier.

I’ve been taking lessons from Ryan for 15 months now. I retired in 2019 and always wanted to play guitar and contacted Ryan after receiving a flyer in the mail. I am very impressed with how professional and organized he operates his business. He offers a variety of classes geared towards your interests and objectives, is always well prepared and is always very enthusiastic. Ryan has helped me technically, quite often with simple adjustments that I never would have thought of. He definitely understands his students’ level of play and progress and is thus able to focus on skills for that individual. I recommend Ryan (Etobicoke Guitar School) to anyone starting to learn guitar or to anyone wanting to improve their skills. Paul S. Etobicoke

I tried to learn the guitar on youtube and hit a wall very quickly. Happily, I''ve gone from complete beginner to being able to strum along to my favourite songs after a relatively short period working with Ryan. He pays close attention to my personal goals and always seems to have them in mind when constructing lesson plans. That said, his course offerings are varied enough that I routinely get the opportunity to learn news things that I wouldn't have thought to ask about on my own. I moved far away from Ryan's classroom, but I've stuck with him through his online class offerings and I'm really glad I've done that. Ryan is a great instructor and his community of students have been a pleasure to learn from.

This is my daughter’s first experience with guitar and she has been loving it. Ryan is a thoughtful instructor who always aims to make the learning fun for his students. A great place for small group instruction where attention is given to each student.

Ryan is a great guitar teacher. I feel that my playing has really accelerated with his guidance. He teaches you techniques and chord changes using the songs that you want to learn. This makes me want to practice more, which allows me to get results faster. He is even able to offer, what seems like, small modifications to my playing that end up making huge differences. He suggested new ways to sit, new ways to hold the guitar, etc. These simple changes have yielded big results. I have issues with my hands, and often Ryan is able to recommend alternative methods so that I can perform the song/technique. He offers in-person and online classes. I mainly attend the online classes and enjoy them. If you are new to guitar or looking for a guitar teacher, I would highly recommend contacting the Etobicoke Guitar School. All you need to do is practice what he teaches you and you will get results
