Essex Equestrian
We are a training and boarding facility focusing primarily on hunter/jumpers. It is our goal to provide a healthy, safe environment for our horses along with a fun, professional atmosphere for our clients.
Elise Nelson is the head instructor, trainer, and manager. Elise has been involved in the equine industry for over 30 years throughout Canada and the U.S. participating in a variety of disciplines with riding, showing, and judging local shows. Elise is dedicated to continuous upgrading of her skills and knowledge through clinics and symposiums.
We take pride in nurturing riders from novice to advanced and helping them become responsible horsemen and women. We give them the skills to be confident in their abilities from the ground up.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been training with Elise Nelson, the trainer who runs Essex Equestrian, for about five years - since well before Essex Equestrian opened. At no time have I had any reason to doubt that she is a truly excellent trainer, of both horses and riders. In addition to the excellent lessons and frequent shows, the stable facility is excellent. Very good indoor sand arena and outdoor grass arena. The lockers provided to boarders are quite generous, as well. Given all of this, it's excellent value for the money.
