About ESG Chartered Professional Accountants LLP
Lex was born and raised in the Philippines and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy in March 2001 from Saint Louis College – San Fernando City, La Union, Philippines.
In May 2002, Lex became a member of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He started his career in public practice in 2003 at BDO Alba Romeo & Co., CPAs (one of the Top Auditing CPA firms in the Philippines) and left his position as Senior Auditor in 2006.
Lex migrated to Canada in 2007 and joined BDO Canada LLP in Penticton, B.C. as Senior Accountant. In 2010, Lex moved to Winnipeg and joined several public accounting firms before joining ESG as one of the founding partners. In 2015, Lex became a member of the Certified General Accountants Association of Manitoba and Canada, which has since amalgamated with CPA Canada.
Lex started at ESG in August of 2017 and was made a partner in 2019. He specializes in working with small to medium sized businesses in various industries. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his two daughters and working out with his beautiful wife. He also loves to read and sing karaoke as he used to be a lead vocalist in a rock band in the Philippines.
