The cut was great, the atmosphere was better. Very friendly staff that engaged me in conversation. I didn't feel like they asked me a few forced questions out of obligation. Esencia made me feel like a valued customer, not just another person on the assembly line of hair cuts. My stylist took the time to do my cut right, she didn't rush.I'm very satisfied with Escencia and I'm going to get all my new cuts there.

My first experience here was perfect with Jessica as my hairstylist, but my second one couldn't be more flawed. In my second experience, I called them in advance if they have walk-ins and they said yes. But they made me book an appointment when walked-in. My hairstylist didn't do the faded pixie that I wanted with my hair and she did an undercut instead. I showed her a reference picture and what she did to my hair is nowhere near the picture. I like how the undercut suits me, but I am disappointed. It wasn't what I wanted and expected. It was not worth the money that I paid for. I don't usually care for writing a review for these kind of things, but I don't want anyone else to be surprised when they get a poor service from Selina.
C	Christy Lindsay on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very disappointed with my experience here. The nail tech I had was young and inexperienced. She did not have her tools charged and admitted she had never done acrylic nail training. She mostly did hand filing instead of using the machine, which was time consuming and hurt. Her brush was hardened and she asked another tech to borrow a brush. Afterwards, the other tech brought her a bottle of brush cleaner which my tech exclaimed she had never used and didn't even know existed. She was very sloppy and all the nails are uneven. The tips of my left had are so thin that within two days some have broken, whereas my right hand nails are too thick to use. I had one broken nail when I came in, she said no problem she could fix it, and it is still broken (see photo). Furthermore, there was a very limited selection of colours and the paint is peeling off already (approximately 2 days later). I paid $58 for this. It was worth no more than $10 and the tech really should have had a trainee badge. I will never return for nail services.
E	Ellie Gauvin on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love my nails! I always get dark colors but this was such a nice change. I can't stop staring at the sparkly nail! The staff is so friendly. I have been there twice now, once as walk in and another as a same day book in. They got my mom in for her hair, tinting and nails in last minute too. Love that they are flexible! My only complaint is that I had to go home and file the polish off my fingers a little. My thumb nail was very short beforehand but the polish on top created a strange sharp spot I had to fix. No biggie though, I will still recommend my friends and family to go here!
