Why is it every time you need a part like a mower deck belt it takes 7-10 days to get it? Have other brands of mowers like JD and get parts in 2 days.

Went in looking for a chainsaw. Discussed a few different options and decided on one particular saw that will fit my needs. Also had it in my mind that I wanted to purchase a plastic carry case for it and couple of files as well. I picked out the saw and then the employee proceeded to explain to me that for even more money, I can have the saw tuned up! He explains that the saws have the carburetors adjusted for sea level elevation from the factory. Since we are not at sea level you can expect that the saw won't run as good. (My words, not his - but that is what was implied, thus the offer) This is nothing more than a cash grab and really poor customer service. Here's a thought - why not have the saws tuned up and ready to run at it's best, when it leaves the store? They go on about how their pricing is better than the "box stores".... well, your service isn't!

I was searching for a new chainsaw so we could take the kids to cut firewood. Equipment Express came up in my search so I dropped by and looked through their inventory. I dealt with two staff who were both very thorough in answering my questions and offering guidance. Ultimately, I went back two days later and bought a Husquavarna. They were very clear that it was ok for occasional firewood, but by no means professional grade. Although the saw worked great, I realized after our first outing that it was not quite enough saw, and that I should have spent just a little more to get what I wanted. When I called to inquire about trading it up for the other option they suggested, I was told there would be a 10% restocking fee, which made sense as it would need to be inspected and cleaned, then sold as used. In fact, they didn't even charge me the restocking fee!? I would strongly recommend them, as I felt no pressure, attempt to upsell; and their willingness to eat my own mistake makes me a loyal customer for life.

I was looking for a new chainsaw and had been at a couple of big box stores but then decided to try Equipment Express for the first time. The young lady, Jaelyn, who assisted me was extremely knowledgeable about the all the equipment. She was extremely courteous and helpful in selecting the correct saw for my requirements. As well, she was did a great job in describing care and maintenance requirements for the saw and also discussed the importance of personal safety and protective equipment which I thought was another step above what I have experienced in the past when making similar types of purchases. She made my purchasing experience very enjoyable - I will definitely be back in the store for future purchases thanks to this experience.

Disappointed Took our lawnmower in Apr 21 for spring tuneup which includes: power cleaning, replace air filter, replace spark plug, change oil, sharpen or replace the blade, check balance and straightness, check & adjust drive, test run & adjust engine rpm. We were told at drop off would take up to 10 days to do. May 4th received call it was ready to pick up. More than 10 days but ok we understand spring a busy time. But on picking up lawnmower we were told they scraped out encrusted grass on undercarriage and power washed. It had a bit of water on bag so we didn't question. But it didn't look clean. We got it home flipped it over, it hadn't been cleaned. Still encrusted grass under it and no sign of power washing. We thought we'd let it go, we could wash and clean it. But the blade clearly hadn't been sharpened or replaced or even removed. The air filter and spark plug were replaced. We think the oil was changed but not full. Not sure if balance & straightness were done as we had no problems the fall before. We were charged $140 and the main reason was to sharpen the blade. We returned the blade and showed to young man at counter and told him it hadn't been sharpened or mower cleaned. We got a sorry and sharpened the blade but offered no reimbursement. We've been having our mower serviced there for years with no issues prior and even purchased leaf blower from them. Just disappointed in poor service.

We just bought our 4th piece of yard and garden equipment from Equipment Express - our newest purchase is the Stihl MM55C-E Yard Boss with the KW Power Sweep paddle. All I can say is WOW !! This tool sure makes a tough job easy (sweeping gravel off the lawn next to our driveway in the spring). We are looking forward to using the tiller tines for weed control in the garden this summer too. We have been customers of Equipment Express for a number of years, dealing first with Brian and now his son Adam. We can honestly say they provide great advice, quality products and fair prices. When buying power equipment, you only want to do it once ... and not have buyers remorse later. Equipment Express has been able to guide us in the right direction each time when purchasing our chain saw, rototiller, weed eater and now the Yard Boss Tiller / Power Sweep - we are very happy with each tool purchased - and now have tools that with proper care, will last us a life time on our acreage / small farm. I can honestly say that this kind of service is rare today with sales and service people who actually know and understand their products! It is hard to find this kind of product knowledge in the city! We highly recommend Equipment Express for your lawn and garden equipment needs.

Be certain on what you are getting charged for, Quoting for basic services tune-up or fuel flush are quoted wide range. Surprises invoice comes in 0.30 Cents under highest quoted for no explain reason why on the high side of the quote. Only that you approved up to that amount. They didn't know what fuel flush product was used. At $75 dollar an hour labour rate be certain what they are doing. It does run good now. Clean store, well stocked with parts.

Equipment Express This was the first snow blower we ever purchased. We originally had a snowblower set aside but when we got there it was quite large. We spoke with Matt about the size and weight. He said that the particular model was good for gravel roads and would leave about an inch of snow behind. Being new at this I explained we're just doing a driveway and about a hundred feet of sidewalk. I also mentioned I had several neighbors in my previous neighbourhood who owned the smaller Toros. Matt said that size of model would be sufficient for our needs. Equipment Express also carried Husqvarna snow blowers and Matt explained the difference between the Toros and Husqvarnas. We asked which would he recommend overall and he said the Husqvarna. It has a 3 year warranty and he bought his father one. I appreciate the detailed explanation which helped us settle on the Husqvarna ST151 snowblower. We also used Equipment Express assembly, inspection carburetor test and adjustment option. We are very happy with the service we received.
