β β β β β I own a 2016 Volkswagen golf and I had leaking issues which I assumed was coming from the sunroof since my headliner was stained. I took my vehicle here to get it diagnosed to see where it was leaking from. Before I took my vehicle in I asked how much it would cost to diagnose it . After they finished working on my vehicle they ended up charging me more than double for what they said it would cost to diagnose the issue and when I asked why they were charging me more they said it was because they fixed the issue. However they did not even ask me for my permission to move forward with repairs and on top of that my leaking issue was not even fixed. My vehicle headliner is more stained than it used to be and when I got my vehicle back there was about an inch of water in my cupholder. In addition to this they caused damage to the handle attached to the roof near the drivers head. I feel as though this place took advantage of me especially as an 18 year old. That being said, I would not recommend this place.

β β β β β I had my BMW E60 M5 serviced here for a clutch and flywheel replacement along with an oil change. They ran into some issues with the install as the mechanics had completed only one other E60 M5 clutch replacement but in the end the issue was resolved and they discounted the repair costs due to the mishaps.
Overall I am happy with the price and service and will be back for any other changes such as break pads and rotors etc as the dealerships seem to charge way to much in Calgary.

β β β β β Edit: yes this was your business, you scheduled me on a Saturday.
They wrongly diagnosed my issue when I had an antifreeze leak and they never even put my car back together properly. The panel underneath the dash on the drivers side CAME OFF WHILE I WAS DRIVING. Luckily I had a screwdriver and was on an empty street when it happened, could have easily jammed the accelerator and caused an accident. The cherry on top was that I booked an appointment 3 weeks in advance and get there at 8am on a Saturday only to find out they decided to paint the shop. LET YOUR CLIENTS KNOW IN ADVANCE!! They even saw my name on the bookings and didn't bother to notify me. That was the last time I went and I've great service elsewhere.

β β β β β They wrongly diagnosed my BMW X3 issue when I had oil filter gasket leak and they never even put my car back together properly. The plastic cover underneath the engine which keep engine clean from the dust was missing. I called them and they said they donβt have it and and after 30 min they call me back and said they found it so I can grab it any time. Today I went there to get it and I asked them to put back it to my car but they didnβt and said they lost again. I asked them when can u put back to my car. They said they canβt even they are not going to replace it. Their behaviour is really bad not professional. They just hunt money. That was the last time I went. Donβt go there.also they over charge.

β β β β β Took my vehicle in as the door ajar light was on. Thought it would be a simple fix. They said I needed to replace a door latch. Prior to them doing the work I asked if they were sure that was the problem. They assured me it was. The door ajar light had been working intermittently at that point. $450 later as I'm driving home the light came on again. When I took it back it turned out to be a very simple & inexpensive fix - just needed a little piece of metal. Since it was there error I would have expected some of my money back but that did not happen. Very disappointed as this place had been recommended as one that would only do what was necessary.
I have since talked to the owner and he assured me that he will work with me to establish a trusting relationship. I so appreciate a shop that works honestly with women (especially us seniors!)

β β β β β Let me start by saying Reuben is a great mechanic and great customer service. The rest of the employees/owners I dealt with I cannot say the same, got my clutch replaced and they did it in a timely fashion and did a good job as far as I can tell. However they broke an o2 sensor on my vehicle in the process which they refused to pay for the damages. After some back and forth they eventually offered to cover the labor on the replacement. I figured thatβs still not a fair transaction but I need it fixed, got a couple quotes in the meantime from other shops and got a call back from Elllis a week later that the part alone was going to be $380β¦ every other shop quoted me $110-$150 for the part. Unfortunately their one of the only shops to service BMWs in town, I will have to continue doing some business here when other shops wonβt touch certain BMW components, however after this experience I will definitely use them as a last resort as Iβm not looking to pay for unnecessary repairs when I bring my cars in for specific repairs.

β β β β β Charged me for a tire pressure sensor repair that didn't work. Lady at the front desk also needs an attitude check - how are you going to be grumpy as a front-facing customer service employee?

β β β β β Top notch honest service. My BMW had an indicator light noting brakes needed to be changed. Once up on the lift and the wheels were taken off the Mechanic noted the senor wire broke, the brakes had lots of life left. They replaced the wire and charged me a small fraction of what originally quoted. They easily could have just fixed the senor, charge me for the full brake swap and i would have been none the wiser. Thank you for your honesty, I will continue to support Ellis in the future.
