The most prominent historic site sits outside the city at Fort Steele Heritage Town. Perched on the slopes of the Rocky Mountains, this historic site has lived through the ages; from boomtown to ghost town. It is now a living history museum with theatre performances and live demonstrations and reenactments.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We didn't stay at the hotel but did the mini golf. While waiting for the rest of our party to arrive we o served the excellent service for the hotel guests. They were greeted warmly, escorted to their rooms, looked like they got some special welcoming gift. The owners are fantastic and welcoming. The mini golf was also great. We went 3 different times and had a blast each time. Very well set up and cared for property

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I can’t recommend this place enough! For affordability, cleanliness, location and friendliness. Such a great spot! Renovated and lots pride of ownership.
Recommend a main level unit if you have an older dog or one that might be scared of those metal mesh snow stairs. We were fine but would have had to carry our old (much larger dog)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We want to say a big thanks to George & Rachel for being so accommodating and understanding. The recommended room King Executive suite was perfect for us as a couple. George even took time to describe everything over the phone, the virtual tour via the website was helpful. We stayed over 12 nights and George even gave us the best weekly rate and was flexible to charge only the nights we stayed upon check out - which is very appreciated! Rachel even made sure we had more items in the kitchen for our longer stay: bigger pot for soup, blender for smoothies, coffee, coffee filter etc. George would call in and check with us after a few days to see if there's anything else we would need, housekeeping, linens, towels, toiletries etc. Overall, the BEST in Cranbrook for sure! Without a doubt, highly recommended! Thank you ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed here with my pup recently for one night. The staff member was super friendly and helpful and made me feel right at home. The room was clean and the bed was amazingly comfortable. They also had a care package waiting for my pup. The location is absolutely perfect with direct access to trails and parks. Will DEFINITELY be staying here if I'm ever in town again. If you stay anywhere else in Cranbrook I can say without a doubt that you will be missing out.
