Our history moves us forward

Elance Steel was founded by Jim Baier and Rick Libke in 1979 and they are still with the company today. Their collective goal was to produce structural steel and miscellaneous metals at a fair price. As their customer base rapidly grew, Jim and Rick hired design technicians, specialized engineers and contractors that gave Elance an immediate edge over the competition. With this wide range of services available under one roof, the Elance customer could now benefit from spending less time coordinating individual contractors and more time focusing on the success of their finished project.

Over the years, Elance Steel has helped shape the landscape of the prairies with major projects in Saskatoon, Regina, Moose Jaw, Prince Albert, Yorkton and beyond. We are a proud Saskatchewan company and honoured to support local businesses and communities. We love what we do and we do it well. It is our responsibility to provide our customers with added value, and expert advice on every project. This has been our goal from the day we opened our doors and will remain so moving forward.

During the last 3 decades, Elance Steel has grown into a family of dedicated employees with over 300 years of combined experience. From our design technicians who create innovative design solutions for our customers, to our project managers, coordinating an effective project work strategy, all Elance team members posses a strong skill-set that compliments one another to reach the common goal of complete customer satisfaction.
