★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For Valentines dinner we ordered the special tapas night menu. What a treat! We really enjoyed trying all the different foods and everything was excellent. The quality is outstanding. I was concerned there wouldn’t be enough food but we were stuffed and didn’t even finish it all. If you’re looking for a meal that’s above and beyond the usual, this is the place.

Who knew that a little place called EL REBOST in Prescott, Ontario would have the most fantastic Spanish meal we’ve had since leaving Spain years ago? Proprietor Mark served up a feast on our friend’s birthday that began with a charcuterie board of Spanish jamon and cheeses, then Tortilla con Patatas (Spanish Omelette), the freshest of bread rubbed with tomato, garlic and olive oil, white asparagus with mayonnaise, Croquetas that melted in my mouth, Patates Bravas, Seafood Paella, and more. It was a meal to remember, and because El REBOST is an importer and supplier of Spanish foods to restaurants and stores, we left with authentic Spanish supplies to enjoy some of the dishes at home. We’ve eaten in many Spanish restaurants outside of Spain, but this truly was the best, and it was hidden away, just off the 401 highway, where we never would have expected to find it. We’ll be back, often!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We chanced upon this wholesale-turn-restaurant that specilizes in Spanish produce while driving back to Toronto from Montreal. Amazing food and service. Highly recommended items are the cold cuts, marinated peppers and the olive oil pearls. Free parking is available next to the restaurant

And just the nicest, friendliest owner. Really knows all of his products, because he's the one working directly with the suppliers in Spain!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Over the course of perhaps 2 hours a small group of us had what might have been the finest lunch of my life. I thought we'd just have paella, but we had half a dozen spectacular dishes before the paella. We then had the most brilliant, lightest dessert I've ever had; I'm embarrassed to admit that I can't even recall it's name. If you truly care about pure food, this place is it.
