★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would like to thank Eugene from Ekan Inspections for doing a wonderful job on our home inspection. Eugene is a friendly gentleman with a wealth of knowledge when it comes to inspecting homes.
He performed an extremely thorough inspection of the structure, roof, deck, plumbing, electrical and exterior items such as driveway, retaining walls and drainage around the foundation. He also provided information on aspects of the house that will require ongoing maintenance as well as changes that may lead to problems that are brewing. Eugene’s sent me a complete report. He listed any deficiencies including any safety items that would most likely be overlooked. If you are looking for an experienced detail-oriented home inspector I would highly recommend him.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I spent a considerable amount of time researching area inspectors and it can be difficult to tell what level of service and knowledge each service provider can offer. After reading some of Eugene’s blog posts, his posted experience and other online reviews I knew EKAN home inspection would be the right person for the job. I reached out to Eugene and he was quick to reply, asked relevant questions upfront and was extremely professional. He also shared items related to code of ethics which I thought was prudent.
On the day of inspection he showed up on time and had all equipment ready to go. He happened to be training someone new to the field, which I saw as a plus. Not only did it feel like I was getting a second set of eyes on the property, but the new hire was asked to vocalize his observations which allowed me to learn at the same time. As the inspection took place the depth of his knowledge quickly became apparent. He provided a thorough debrief and answered all of my questions. The final report was issued within 24 hours.
Should I ever need to refer a home inspector or need one again I will definitely reach out to EKAN home inspection!
