As the General Manager for Effect, Les is inspired to make a difference in communities and the environment, and his satisfaction comes from making home owners’ dreams a reality. As one of the founding members of Effect Home Builders, Les is dedicated to helping clients understand the building process and leaving a lasting, positive impact on their lives.

Valedictorian of his graduating high school class, Les went on to receive a Bachelor of Commerce Degree with Distinction from the University of Alberta and has received several industry related awards for his work. He looks forward to continuous improvement across the building industry as a whole.

They built our beautiful home from scratch two and a half years ago, and up till today they still care about our home a lot. The most important aspect of Effect Home is that all three owners contribute equally to the success of our house. Dale was responsible in the design phase while Les did the budget. Dave was instrumental in overseeing the successful completion of the house. We should also mention the warranty manager, Will, for his tireless effect in satisfying all our extreme demands after we moved in even until now. In the past, we had used many contractors in renovating many houses. None of them were able to approach the standards set by Effect Home. We couldn’t be happier with their great workmanship and continuing high-quality service.

Their creative design included entrances that face different directions so it does not look like a duplex and enhanced the curb appeal. The building is extremely well insulated and air tight which makes it quiet, comfortable and very energy efficient. Another element of the build that we liked is that it included solar modules which generate energy every time the sun shines. We were proud when our project received a Built Green Platinum rating, which is the highest level in the program. We enjoyed their collaborative approach and would absolutely work with them again.
