About Edgemont Medical Centre
Dr Li graduated from Chengde Medical College in Hebei China in 1993. After 5 years internal medicine training, She practiced as an internist in China until moving to Canada in 2001. After finishing her internal medicine training from University of Calgary in 2014, she started to work as an internal medicine specialist in Calgary and Yellowknife. She has great passion to help her patients, maintain their health and make good recovery from their illness. It has been her mission to work together along with her patients and their family to build up their health .
Her interests are complexed chronic diseases , diabetes, hypertension, heart failure management, cardiovascular disease prevention
She is also interested in taking care of patients with chronic pain, chronic fatigue or any unspecific symptoms from unknown causes

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Oh my god, I was excited to bring my child here, we are new to edgemont, but after meeting the receptionist Jesse I think her name is she,She is Asian I will never go back, she is rude and unprofessioanl and snappy, like om sorry i asked you a question, i called to get a prescription filled and she told me i had to see the dr again because she didn't have it. When the dr is still ther her phone manners are unacceptable, she got frustrated put me on hold and never got back to methe doctors are great, but I feel this receptionist or nurse or whatever she is, shouldn't be working with people. Won't go back

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This "Dr" Syed Asim Hussain should lose his license. Hot tempered, makes his staff cry and has no patient bedside manner. He didn't even come into the room when my appointment time came. He asked me 2 questions gave me a prescription (that im allergic to) and then moved onto his next patient all from standing at the door. This is not the first time he has given me the wrong prescription for medicine I am deathly allergic to. All this clinic cares about is pushing patients and making money. They do not care about your health or respect you. I will never go back and do not recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time I met Dr. Asim was in a clinic in Airdrie and ever since then, I continue to be a patient wherever he goes haha. He is an amazing physician - very knowledgeable and takes his time to get to know the patients and help with their ailments. Clinic and staff are excellent as well.

Also, follows up diligently when ever needed. I have always had a very pleasant experience with the staff in the clinic as well. Would highly recommend Dr Hussain and this clinic to anybody looking for a family doctor.

He takes the time to listen to my concerns and answers all my questions without rushing me. The staff is very friendly and overall the clinics atmosphere is open and pleasant.

The staff are accommodative of emergency cases, doctors are great with kids and the facility is modern, clean and well equipped. Dr. Asim is very knowledgeable, handles our cases with great care and compassion and is generous with his time during each visit. We feel truly blessed that we have him as our family doctor. We’ve also had referrals with other doctors here, and I can say they are equally great at what they do. Highly recommended.

Dr. Asim Hussein is incredible, Not only has he taken great care of my health, but also he is lovely to speak with at every appointment. It’s rare to find a doctor that combines such compassion and care for a patient as a person with outstanding quality of medical care.
He’s very understanding, knowledgeable, combines expertise and a willingness to listen to your concerns and discuss.
I appreciate Dr. Asim taking time to go over the diagnosis clearly and treatment options.
I wanted to add that the entire staff at Edgemont clinic are beyond amazing, Shauna was really nice, caring, smiling and helped to get an appointment. She wrote all the special instructions and took the time to explain them to me.
I highly recommend becoming his patient!
