I want to tell you about Gina, Kelly and Anna at Eden Salon. You would probably never consider coming to Mayland Heights to get your hair, nails or permanent makeup done, but you should open your mind. Here's why! 1) Gina does hair and she had many years of experience working downtown before starting her business at Eden Salon. She knows how to do the kind of cut you are looking for. 2) Kelly is new there and is doing nails--manis and pedis and various gels and shellac. She is wonderful because she takes the time to shape your nails and make them look natural--if that's what you want or far more adventurous if you are looking for. 3) Anna is a wonderful permanent makeup artist who did eyebrow tattoos on me. I am 60 and they look really natural and my 24 year daughter even says they look great and I look much younger. She will also do eyeliner and lips. Her prices are half of what you would pay in a chichi salon and you will love the results. I am an actual customer, and want to say that I truly love the really warm family atmosphere of this salon along with the excellence of their services. I highly recommend you try them.

It always saddens me to write bad reviews but it is necessary in order for other customers to avoid bad experiences. I went to Edan once for a haircut probably 4 or 5 years ago and had Gina do it. I think she was inexperienced with guys haircuts and didn't do a very good job with it. The bangs were cut wrong and the entire thing turned out nothing like I wanted it too. Luckily guys hair grows back fast and I could go to my normal barber and get it fixed. Since I live close to this salon I thought I'd finally give them a try for waxing my eye brows as I usually go to a lady in Cambrian but that's quite a distance to drive. The first time was with another lady who I can't quite recall her name, she didn't do a bad job but I could tell she was quite inexperienced with it. She took 3 times longer than my usual girl. Although she took longer, saving me 35 minutes of driving made it worth it in the end. The second time I just had my eyebrows waxed I had Gina do them. She as well seemed inexperienced in doing them. She took much longer than my usual lady which again wouldn't be that much of a deal, but she somehow got wax on my eyelid which I didn't notice at the time but now I literally have a chunk ripped off my eyelid. It almost looks like I have a black eye, and being in a professional work atmosphere this has been very frustrating. What they lack in experience, they make up in genuine care and honesty. I could tell they were all trying to be nice and do the best job they could. However in my personal experience they didn't have the expertise for male haircuts or for eyebrow waxing. I just discovered this fantastic salon in my neighborhood and I've been in Mayland Heights for over 15 years! Not sure how I missed it but it's a little hidden treasure. Gina is the stylist who cut and styled my hair today and she did an amazing job. Considering how awful and damaged my hair was after bleaching it, she managed to cut away all the crappy parts and gave me a pixie cut that suits me perfectly without any hesitation. She was exactly what I was looking for, someone who could just dive in and know exactly what to do. Thank you Gina!

Eden is a fantastic little place. I’ve going there for 5-6 years now and have Gina do my hair the entire time. She has always provided exceptional service and the product has always been on point. I shave my head now and still go to Gina. Even a shave she always makes sure there are no flaws and uses this beard trimmer type tool to get even closer around ears and neck. Highly recommend!
