Eagle Nest Landing

My husband and I just got back from here and boy we did not want to leave! We had a 2-night stay in a yurt with a 1.5-day boat rental and it was definitely worth it. This was our first time in a yurt and we didn't know what to expect other than what we read on the website, we were not disappointed! For people that usually tent camp, this felt like a world of luxury. Waterfront, hardwood floors, queen bed (with a top bunk for a child), table and chairs, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, bar fridge, double sink and a two-burner hot plate made this so much better than just a tent with a fire pit (oh, you also have a fire pit and BBQ with propane for your use!). And a bonus surprise when we got there was the two kayaks outside the yurt that we were free to use while we stayed there. My husband took advantage of that and took one out across the bay from our dock. The top of the yurt was a solar dome so at night you could see the stars from bed and during the day it was wonderful natural light for the yurt, although with the boat rental you won't see a lot of that yurt during the day. The boats they have are wonderful 16' vessels with a 30hp engine that is really good on gas. The fishing around here is wonderful, the owners will give you tips on where to go if you want, and you can find species such as perch, pike, bass, and my favorite, the walleye. Anyone from experts to beginners will have a good time out on the Winnipeg River here! We will be telling all of our family and friends about this place and we will be coming back for sure!!!

We had an amazing time at this cabin! The staff was nice and was very accomodating. They were very responsive to all our needs. I love the jacuzzi and the private dock. Beds were comfy and glad that they had extra pillows. Rooms were spacious. It was very clean when we got there. The view of the lake from our cabin was beautiful. We are definitely coming back!

Staying in the yurt was such a neat experience. It was stocked with dishes, TV fans. Loved the skylight. Loved the kayaks and fishing boats. Staff were great!

Right from the minute we pulled into to the landing we all knew we were in for a treat . Dara directed us to a beautiful cabin up on the hill. Cabin was clean and had it all. Set the alarm to be up before sunrise to see a magnificent view of the lake once down at lodge to get boats Jsmes came down and went over a few places on a well marked map. We know had the confidence for the lake. The boats were equipped with safety gear, a basic fishfinder and a net. Hig the first place on lake and fishing was on with a pike, walleye, and bass all caught within 10 minutes. This is a great well run outfit . with guiding services. You will relax and have a great time . Thank you James and Dara for a wonderful time .

Visited the Eagle Nest Landing in Pointe du Bois for a few days. All but one of the cabins are very old. We stayed in an old one. The cabin needs extra cleaning attention. There are spider webs inside on the window frames and outside on the deck. The windows need a good cleaning as the frames are full of dust. The cabin smells odd. Found some random objects under the beds like hair clips (was checking to see if I dropped something). Not vacuumed under the beds. The deck needs to be updated. Stairs don’t even reach the ground. Small improvements of the deck over time have not kept up with deterioration of the deck. Issues with mice. No rodent control like traps. The window and patio door screens are all compromised (not adjusted properly or have holes). Flies can enter easily through holes but they do provide a fly swatter. Had to drop off garbage at a central location ourselves due to covid. No option to drop off recycling that we collected in their blue bin. Oddly the recycling bins outside were also taped off. They give you a jacuzzi but the water is cloudy and brown. Their website points that they provide toiletries but it should say that they provide only soap (no shampoo). Customer service was less than expected. You can reach them but they are not always around to help or may not have the knowledge to help. They provide nice simple aluminum boats with a depth finder and normal safety gear, good motors but the seat cushions are ripped. Nature and view of the water from the cabin is beautiful Kitchen cabinets and dishwasher are old. Although it’s nice to have a dishwasher, this one sounds like a train in your own living room. Convenient to have laundry and dryer Lawn is manicured Good fishing lake Beautiful lake and wildlife Relatively quiet most of the time Semi private beach and dock Overall the location has a good potential but the older cabins are not worth the price that they’re asking. Would come back if the cabins were updated.

Amazing. From start to finish just an incredible experience! The cabins were modern and clean stocked with everything you'd need. Their fishing boats are great to The service was on point everyone here was friendly and eager to help with any question or request. We will definitely be back every year!

I have been here the 3rd time on a yearly Men's retreat and I like to say thank you to the people who work here for their help and kindness. All in all a positive expierence and fishing was good! It is a lot of room to camp or tent and the cabins are very comfortable. Clean is it! I really appreciate that fact! We come again, I'm sure about that.

The Perch...cabin 5 is a new cabin and absolutely loved it. I was in awe when I entered the cabin. Cabin is fully equipped with everything you need. Just needed to bring food and settle in for a great 4 days. James and Dara were great. Very friendly. Maggie registered us into our cabin. Oh...Maggie's dog was the first to great us. Love her dog...so cute and friendly. Rented a boat for 2 days. Loved it all
