I had to take my son to get fitted into the appropriate air cast. Donna helped us and she really was so helpful and friendly! Thank you Donna you made a very stressful time a lot easier :)

First time there. Nice place. I was unfortunate to have the worst customer rep in recent memory. One could only compare it with dealing with an overseas calling centre rep for a big telecom provider. I believe Julian was his name. When returning an unused cane in mint condition 4 days after purchase, even though I was told over the phone..if cane resellable, which it undoubtedly was, I’d be able to exchange. I was also willing to exchange for one of lesser value, and btw…nowhere on my receipt did it say “final sale”. This rep was the most stubborn corporate unfeeling uncompromising (fill in the blanks here) I had ever met. After having an embarrassing verbal exchange at the front of the queue, I was lucky enough to be served by what seemed to be Julian’s polar-opposite, a reasonable and friendly rep, by the name of Angie, who proceeded to actually help me. Lol, Go figure. She was able to let me exchange the cane, with a remaining $5 credit which I will unlikely never use bc I’d never go back. Amen. Other than raising my blood pressure, this experience has left, by far, a bad taste in my mouth, and for what?? It all became a matter of principle rather than a few bucks. Did Julian not realize that I was a potential returning customer and would possibly spend hundreds, if not thousands, in product merchandise in upcoming years, or possibly months?? Unreal to say the least. If this man is a “REPRESENTATIVE” for DURHAM MEDICAL, then by all means BUYER BEWARE. I’ve already begun looking for alternate medical supply establishments in the Durham region. An overall ugly and needless petty experience for me. Don’t let it be one for you…just not worth it.

Experienced in all healthcare matters and will do their best to help you during the most difficult part in your life. Prices are comparable to most and will offer more support and knowledge then other's. Donna is an amazing person who shows care and compassion at all times. They have been excellent during all processes.

Wonderful experience with Sean and his team at Durham Medical. Installed outside porch lift. Very professional and knowledgeable. I buy all my medical supplies from Durham Medical. Great staff during this pandemic.

My family doctor prescribed a blood pressure monitor with a large cuff, as my arm is larger than average. Called and spoke with June who informed me that they only sold cuffs for "normal" arms. My arm may be an above average size, but definitely function like a normal arm. June was able to find a cuff that had to be ordered in. To make it more convenient, it could be delivered to my house. Because I had a prescription, the monitor was tax exempt, but not the cuff. She stated that because the monitor came with a cuff, I'd have to pay the tax on my special order. A fat tax of sorts, I guess. Yesterday, June called and left a message advising that it would be delivered today. I called and left a message with June, advising that I would pick it up instead, as I would be traveling for work. When I went in this morning, a gentleman asked me to stand and wait while he looked for my order. June came out, addressed me by an incorrect name, and said that she had left me a message. I replied that I had left her a message to say I would pick it up and she pointed at her phone to say she had no messages. Her tone was almost accusatory. The man found my bag and handed it to me, saying I was lucky that it hadn't been picked up yet. The customer service from them has been underwhelming to say the least. I've had issues with them previously, not fitting me correctly for compression socks. And now the tone deaf comments about my abnormal arm? I will be sure to shop elsewhere going forward.

I just want to thank all of the staff at Durham Medical, especially June Cole and Sean Rauseo. My family and I have had an awful year with all of the medical issues my dad has had - he was in the hospital for 3 months and we had to purchase and rent so much equipment for so many things from Durham Medical and outside of Durham Medical. My father is a heart patient, a diabetic patient and a dialysis patient. He has charcot's foot as well, so his chair lift helps him live a normal life. He sleeps so well now since we got the hospital bed and I can honestly say, Durham Medical has been a TRUE LIFE SAVER for him and for my mom and I. It's very tough being a caregiver and sometimes unexpected expenses come out of nowhere, some which are covered by insurance, others which are not. There were many times when I was behind on bills and the staff at Durham Medical worked with me a lot to help make it possible for my father to continue to be supported through his many illnesses. I truly appreciate the kindness and empathy both Sean (the manager) and June have shown my family and I. Durham Medical is an amazing company and I hope to have a relationship with them long into the future. I would recommend this company with 5 stars all the way. Thank you so much for everything you have done for my family and I. It means more than you can ever know!!!!

Completely disappointed with a recent experience with Julian. My mom rented a walker on April 10. On May 10, the decision was made to purchase the walker, however she was unable to make it in to the store. Her OT called the store and was told that they would not charge for the next month as she was purchasing the unit. When she showed up on May 12, Julian informed her that there was no record of the conversation and would not honour any discount. The way she was spoken to and the tone he used made her feel embarrassed. So sad the way senior citizens are treated these day.
