Since its launch in 2019, Dug & Betty's Ice Creamery has been establishing itself as one of Winnipeg's latest culinary hot spots. The Parisian-inspired setting is unlike anything this side of the Prairies - home to tantalizing small batch gourmet ice cream creations such as Strawberry Honey Balsamic Pepper, Sour Cherry with Dark Chocolate, Coconut Chocolate Fudge Oreo, Ube, and Matcha.
Dug & Betty's Ice Creamery is the latest brain child of Chef Fern Kirouac. It's located in the heart of Winnipeg's French quarter, Saint-Boniface; across the street from his other culinary success, InFerno's Bistro. It was named after his cherished basset hounds (who are the unofficial ambassadors). Also named after the duo are creations like the Dashing Dug Sundae and the Bad Betty Sundae.
The animated menu also offers a wide range of lush spirits like champagne / beer floats and a bold selection of fine wines. These can be enjoyed inside the 30-seat establishment or outdoors on the patio.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went there for lunch. The menu is surprising and fantastic. Our server was great too. The kitchen messed up on one of our orders and we had to wait a bit longer as it was being remade. He refused to let us pay for that order. Haha
Great ice cream menu too! We'll be back. Highly recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not only do they have awesome premium ice cream (not that fake tasting DQ stuff) but they're food is mind blowingly good! You don't expect it from an ice cream place.
They served me a masterpiece of a chili dog. I did have to wait about 10 mins which is was well worth the wait. Also gave me time to enjoy my ice cream. I'm a fan of dessert before dinner but don't tell my mom that.
I was happy with the food, dessert, and service! If you haven't tried this place you have it! A true gem of Winnipeg.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Probably the best ice cream place in Winnipeg when it comes to flavor accuracy. The flight gives you four flavors to try for $10 which is plenty of ice cream for two people. Their earl grey and strawberry balsamic is my favorite but the flavors I tried were fantastic! Food is okay but cheap price makes it worth it. Go there for ice creams!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A-MAZ-ING! So so good! Ordered a California clubhouse and the beet salad. My partner ordered the roast beef sandwich. Everything was so flavourful and fresh. I love how their menu has so many different concoctions with foods you would never dream to put together, but taste so good!!! I'll definitely order here again. Very good food, you won't be disappointed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ $30 for all pictured after tax!! Incredibly tasty. The sandwich was a bit soggy because it was takeout and had to drive home but it was still amazing. Takeout only but they have seats to sit in while you wait and you can place orders indoors!
