DramaWay

My son has been a Dramaway participant for several years, in drama, dance, vocal and social programs, and has immensely enjoyed them all! The staff are very enthusiastic and are able to creatively adapt aspects of each program to the strengths and interests of each participant. It's amazing to see how each person gets a chance to really shine. I've also been impressed by how quickly and well Dramaway switched to online-only programming during the pandemic.

We have been with Dramaway for the last 3 years. My Daughter loves and enjoys it. It’s a great program where people with special needs can Show their talents . The teachers are awesome! The passion and the effort put in to all the programs are incredible. We love Dramaway and recommend everyone to join who needs to show their talents .

Our daughter is a long-time participant in DramaWay's Theatre and Dance programs and volunteers with its Multi-Arts program. She also takes great pride in being an ambassador for DramaWay. Danielle and the whole DramaWay team go above and beyond our expectations in supporting and encouraging the participants. DramaWay has been an amazing environment to develop long-term friendships with people who support and respect one another. Our daughter has grown and blossomed in this positive and supportive environment and can't wait for the next zoom session (and for in person classes to resume when possible). There are year end performances as well with each year's showcase outdoing the last. We highly recommend DramaWay for its wonderful programs.

Our family has been involved with DramaWay for twenty years. We have had the pleasure of watching the actors mature and blossom under Danielle's tutelage. Danielle expects the actors to progress, she challenges them pushing them, gently and with support, out of their comfort zone. Our daughter, Nicole, has gained experience performing on stage, learning to interact with the audience and controlling her voice to impact her message. These skills benefit Nicole at college as well as in her employment. DramaWay staff always use technical terms and proper stage etiquette and this has increased Nicole's transferable skills. Our daughter, Heather, may appear quiet during the classes and performance but the skills she develops in class are well used at home. DramaWay supports and encourages Heather's use of multiple word sentences, maintaining the conversation, and adding to a continuing conversation. Listening to both Heather and Nicole interact with the members of DramaWay has been a delight. After so many years of dropping them off and picking them up with excited chatter we finally get a view of what goes on behind the scenes. The DramaWay staff are fantastic, supporting, setting positive examples, full of praise, able to step in and change the direction of a conversation as smoothly as saying hello. The staff have an expectation for their students, a standard and they work to assist all to reach their potential. We were thrilled to hear DramaWay went on-line, it is our highlight of the week. Danielle and her staff may be artists first, but they have risen to the challenge of the virtual world with finesse.

My sister, who has Down syndrome, absolutely loves all of the wonderful and engaging programs offered by DramaWay! The entire DramaWay team, including it's volunteers, are incredible. The team quickly adapted and developed a spectacular roster of virtual programming options from the start of the pandemic. They have made such an positive impact in keeping the DramaWay community connected. Many thanks to Danielle Strnad and the DramaWay team for your continued hard work, efforts and dedication to making this program so amazing. We are very grateful and appreciative for all that you do!

DramaWay has provided a unique experience for my son that has become a treasure to us as a family. The program has not only given him confidence and new skills, but has provided a supportive and positive community and a place of belonging. Danielle and her team are passionate and committed to bring out the best in each participant. The DramaWay crew are a second family to my son!

I have been a DramaWay performer for almost 15 years! I am so blessed to have gained many friends who have grown with me on our journey as actresses and dancers. This year I am so excited because I will be also attending a songwriting workshop. Danielle, Morgan, Anne, Christine, Lara, Angela, Hannah, Holly, Adam, Brooke and the other team members always make us feel special and work so hard to make our productions a success. I had the privilege of working as a volunteer with Dramaway for the past year. I was so thankful to be a part of such a supportive community that was as passionate about theatre as I was. Dramaway has programs that are fun and accessible for everyone, and they truly put 110% into creating entertaining performances for all to enjoy. They embrace their participants unique skill sets, and find ways to highlight the strengths of each performer. They have cultivated a safe space for everyone to learn and express themselves freely. Everyday joining on to the program I was inspired by both the facilitator's and participant's infectious positive energy. If you have a chance to work with Dramaway, I highly recommend it!
