Beware of unfair business practices especially when you use their online checkout. I bought certain products on their website, when my order was delivered, I was given wrong flavors and substitute items that I didn't order at the same price! I reached out to the email on file and sent a DM on Instagram and nobody answered. I can see countless reviews of expired goods and bad customer service and business practices too. I would avoid this store and search for an alternatives.

I was excited to come all the way from Durham region to support this black owned business. I specifically went for the Patties only to find out only 6 in the box for 23.99 and forget the price but you were only allowed one per customer. The best part I came home to find mold on the patty and each patty broken into pieces. Truly disappointed and no I will not be going back so far to shop nor for the refund!!

I'm sorry but my experience at this place left much to be desired. Customer service is ATROCIOUS. There is no way I will continue to support a business where I walk in and don't feel welcome. The countenance of the shop attendants is horrid, as though customers are asking for freebies. There are many west Indians grocery store that offer better customer service experiences.

I drove all the way from Whitby to support a fellow Jamaican and purchase some of the things that were advertised on IG. Nothing on IG were there and what was remaining did not look clean or fresh. The place smell off like it hasn’t been properly cleaned or sanitized. The vegetables were dry and wrinkly. It’s a good thing I checked the expiry date of one of the item because it was expired. Some products did not even have expiry date on it. I CANNOT TRUST THIS PLACE NOR THE PEOPLE WHO OWN IT! NO INTEGRITY!! AND THEY CARE ABOUT PEOPLE OTHERWISE THEY WOULD NOT DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS… Needless to say, I had to leave very quickly and will never return. As first impression last, I will be having no more impression of this place! This was a complete waste of my time and gas.

Clean organized and helpful staff. Nostalgic memories of Jamaican snacks and foods from this store. My go to when I'm in the area. The goat we purchased here tasted amazing. And also the Devon House ice cream and Red Stripe Beer. The ice cream sells out fast. Only downside was my daughter loves her cheezie snacks and picked up a bunch. We just ended up throwing them out as they were expired and too far of a drive just to change them.

I have been here before.. it's cluttered but. clean for the most part. But I visited today and drove a distance, only to arrive to a completely smelly store. There is no way the health inspectors could give a stamp of approval today. Something in there has died and hidden because is is not healthy. It smelled horrible. Everything is overpriced and I don't mind supporting my own, but my goodness. I couldn't spend my money in there today.

I heard this West Indian store was great and was excited to support my local Black business, however, upon visiting I was graced with unfriendly faces. The customer service needs to be better than that. No one seem to know how to smile and be pleasant to their customers! A little β€œgood morning, can I help you” can go a long long way. I asked when they would order more Tastee patties. The owner looked at me as if I was there to steal and answered rudely, I just left and got the patties from Caribbean Corner. I won’t be spending my money at this business anymore. Not going back. Instead I will be going to Caribbean Corner located in Kensington Market on Baldwin Street. Their service is so much better. They are so welcoming. I felt like they wanted me there. Staff reached out to help me without me asking for help. Bonnick’s learn a thing or two from Caribbean Corner!!!

Don’t appreciate being sold rotten or expired products especially when their prices are significantly higher than other places. Even chicken is $3.50 a pound that’s very high. Please do better. I just bought this cranwater yesterday as in September 23 2021 it is LONG pass the best before date and the price wasn’t reduced nor was there any notice given to me before cashing out. I have had the same experience with garlic, miss birdies and avocado…. I know they’re just starting out hence why I gave a 3 stars cause if they were long established it would be 0.
