The gardens were stunning in mid May. What a beautiful escape within the city. The brochure provided gave information about each portion of the garden. The giftshop had cute local gifts and souvenirs. It's worth a visit and worth supporting with your admission ticket!

Is great to have a Chinese historic buildings near downtown where we can bring our kids to learn about their heritage. And they have Chinese new year activities and lion dance. It is on the smaller side and a bit run down

Very peaceful and serene park next to downtown Vancouver. Can get crowded with photographers and douchey tik tokkers holding up the walkways. The garden is at its prime during the summer months, winter does look a little depressing.

Had our wedding ceremony there in January and couldn't be happier with the venue (thankfully there was a covered, outdoor space that worked within Covid restrictions). We are thankful that they were able to accommodate us with very short notice. Bruno was in charge of organizing everything and was SO kind and helpful from start to finish. It's also a beautiful setting to take photos.

A pretty garden, though small, and it was nice that they offer complimentary self-serve tea. But a portion of the complex was closed when we visited. I thought the ticket was pretty expensive for the experience it provided.

Disappointed to learn the main gardens are 'closed for maintenance' since c-19. It's what I thought I was buying a ticket for. The scholars courtyards are still good though if you take the time to stop and wait for the children to pass and have patience for other selfie takers. Pay attention to read the pamphlet and talk to the stewards and you will learn something

In the middle of a dirty and creepy China Town, this Garden is an Oasis to visit. I got there in public transportation so maybe it is best option rather than driving there. Yes, it is a small garden and yes, it might be better priced, but it is definitely a must-go if you are in China Town. I enjoyed the view, learning about the scholars garden, the elements and symbolisms. Nice stop to learn more about the vast Chinese culture. You can walk the entire garden in less than 30 mins.

It felt like stepping into a secret sanctuary in the middle of a busy city. As soon as we walked through the side gate (after making an online reservation), all noise and stress seemed to melt away. The serene garden flowed and flowered around us as we walked the self-guided path. I love learning about the history of the garden and the significance of the buildings themselves. The symmetry and symbolism felt peaceful and purposeful, inventing us to feel peaceful as well. When booking the tickets, I noticed that we could book a private tea ceremony with a certified tea artist. I jumped on that opportunity so fast! How amazing to not only enjoy a garden, but experience tea while there. Booking the ceremony was quite easy - Bruno sent prompt and friendly emails to get us organized. The tea artist, Lillian, was a delight and a marvelous teacher. We loved chatting with her while we learned the history of tea, the history of the tea ceremony, and how to make tea drinking a meditative practice. She chose flowers from the garden to decorate the table, as well as chose snacks that paired perfectly with our tea. My husband and I felt so well taken care of and at ease through the entire process. I highly recommend visiting the garden, especially when the trees are blooming. I also highly recommend booking a private tea ceremony! It really elevates the garden experience. Bruno and Lillian are a delight to work with.
