About Dr. Mark Haugrud
Mark was born and raised in Edmonton, obtaining his medical degree at the University of Alberta. He received his plastic surgery training in Edmonton with post graduate fellowships at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. After initially practicing in Edmonton he relocated to Calgary in 1992 becoming affiliated with the Rockyview Hospital where he is the site chief for plastic surgery.
Dr. Haugrud is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Alberta Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Northwest Society of Plastic Surgeons and is a clinical professor for the University of Calgary.
Mark is still married after 30 years to the same great woman and they have 3 wonderful, accomplished children. When not working, Mark is an avid sportsman who loves being in Calgary close to the mountains.

Everything about the procedure was well explained by Dr. Haugrud and my anxiety was dispelled by the anesthesiologist. No question was left unanswered. I received a follow up call on the Sunday after the procedure by Dr. Haugrud himself to see how I was doing. There were no surprises with the healing process either.Thank you for such a good experience!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Recently had breast augmentation performed by Dr. Mark Haugrud and even though I am still early in the healing process, I am super happy with the result and level of service that was received. I stumbled across Dr. Haugrud on a Google search for breast augmentation doctors within Calgary and only had his website and online reviews for reference going into my consultation. During the consultation, he was thorough in explaining the procedure, associated risks, and recovery. For the implant sizing, I was able to try on numerous sizes and go to the office a few times to try implants, and make my own decision; he guide me though in the right direction. Day of surgery I was anxious and nervous; however, the team of nurses and doctors made me feel comfortable and Dr. Haugrud held my hand as I went to sleep. Day after surgery, which was a Saturday, Dr. Haugrud personally called me to check-up. Dr. Haugrud has years of experience, he is a little old schooled (no fancy office, pen & paper, social media); however I would highly recommend. His prices are also extremely reasonable (approx. $2K minimum lower for this specific procedure) and wait times are also less than other clinics.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I just had a rhinoplasty yesterday, so I have not seen my results yet. But my experience with dr haugrud, the nurses, and the receptionist at his main office, was absolutely amazing. Everyone was so kind and compassionate. I feel terrible for not remember the receptionists name, but ever since my first phone call with her she has been nothing but kind to me. Dr haugrud saw I was scared before surgery, and he actually held my hand while I was getting my IV because I hate needles.
I could not be more greatful for the team I got to have working on me through this entire experience !
So far I have zero bruising, and zero pain! I havnt even had to take a Tylenol!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had an abdominoplasty performed by Dr. Haugrud (recommend by my family doc of 17 years) and all I can say is I regret putting it off. From consult to surgery day, Cindy was incredible at telling me everything I needed to know to be prepared. The day of surgery, Dr. Haugrud and his team were professional and compassionate and truly put me at ease. Dr. Haugrud kindly followed up by phone the next day to check in, and I was called again not long after by one of his caring staff. The results after only 3 days looked incredible. My pain was well controlled with the prescriptions I received and the detailed after-care instructions provided, so my recovery was smooth and uncomplicated. I feel fortunate I was able to be his patient before his well-earned retirement.

I asked him to go as small as he could for my body shape and I completely trusted him and he gave me a perfect C cup. I am a year out now and they are perfect. I wish I had done this years ago but I was delaying it because I was worried about the recovery. Recovery was easier than I expected. My recovery from childbirth was way worse (and I had an “easy” delivery) than breast reduction surgery.
