If I could rate lower I would. I was referred by my physician to Dr. Kwan. After a few weeks, I received a phone call and an email from a gmail account to confirm an appointment several months later. When a family emergency came up, I looked up the email which was the only contact information I was given to Dr. Kwan, so I could cancel and reschedule the appointment. In accordance with their policy, I replied to the email MORE than 48 hrs in advance to let them know I was not able to make the appointment. The next day, my email bounced back as the email account had been closed. I clicked on the google drive link to try and find the PDF with their actual contact information only to find it was a dead link. Sooo, I googled him found a number and was not able to get through. So I left a message to reschedule the appointment, now hours within the 48 hr window. I received a call the next day, a full day before the appointment and was told that I'd have to pay a $200 fee because I didn't tell them before the 48 hr window. I explained to them I did, in fact attempt to reach them but the contact information THEY have me was no longer in existence and it caused a delay in notifying them. She put me on hold for a few moments, came back and said too bad, it was their policy and I had to pay the $200 cancellation fee. I asked if it was their policy to give bogus information that prevented the patient to contact them in time which would cause them to violate the cancellation policy, she said it was too bad and that was their policy. I guess being one of the only urologists in Milton given Dr. Kwan and his office a sense of superiority over their lowly patients. The condescending attitude makes it pretty obvious they could care less about their patients and are more concerned about themselves. Disgusting attitude and would never recommend anyone to go here. Not that it matters as the system is build so that patient are treated as cattle and physicians like Dr. Kwan get a steady stream of patients no matter how poorly their treated. Great case for a two tier privatized system to incentive dr. to actually care about their patients rather than treat them like cattle.

Dr. Kwan was very knowledgeable and took the time to, not only explain test results, but also send me for a specific test to confirm. This was all done quickly, and I'm very pleased. He didn't rush me, and he was very friendly. His front staff... some smile some don't, but the job was done efficiently so I'm happy.

If I could write a review with no star I would, as this doctor and specialty his staff are the worst as possible. Couldn't care less for his patients. Just a brief statement, today my wife was called to attend an appointment in our family doctor just to learn dr Kwan doesn't want her as a patient anymore because according to them she's been trouble since day one, when all she did was to try rescheduling the appointment and also had to cancel an exam to take my son to the hospital. In all cases she called them in advance. I am also his patient but I will never step my feet in that office ever again and if I could I would recommend everyone to do the same. Zero star for careless, bad attitude and unprofessionalism. Not just the doctor but the receptionist too.

1 star is too good for this office. Dr Kwan is arrogant and defensive. I had three appointments with him and each appt lasted no more than 3 to 5 mins Don' even think of asking any questions. His nurse is the most unprofessional person I have ever met. She threw my papers on the ground In waiting room and continued yelling at me as I was leaving the office. This was all because of my conversation with Dr .KWAN IN A PRIVATE OFFICE. The nurse either was listening at the door or Dr Kwan went and told her of my concerns and I would not returning to his office again. The Doctor ,nurse and receptionist should take a course on how to treat patients. I was a office manager for a Dentist for 33 years and never saw any of staff members treat patients this way. In fact I have my patients and staff still call me after my retirement. I hardly think any of their patient s would. Find another office that will treat you as you should be treated . We dont not have to put up with these types of offices that think they have a right to treat people this way. Find an office that actually likes their jobs And love helping their patient s through difficult times. This is differently not the office to go to.

On May 12 I had a Laparoscopic Nephrectomy and from the beginning of my diagnosis (mid-March) to my after care this week I've had nothing but positive interactions with Dr. Kwan and as well his nurse, Lesley. They are both knowledgeable, professional and pleasant to deal with. My questions and concerns were all dealt with quickly and efficiently. I have nothing but the highest regard for both Dr. Kwan and Lesley and thank them from the bottom of my heart for all they have done for me and for giving me peace of mind through this unexpected journey.

I had my vasectomy with Dr. Kwan and everything went smoothly. His staff are very nice and helpful, instructions pre, during and post were clear and useful and I had a follow up that was also conducted professionally. During the procedure, Dr. Kwan was professional and took the time to answer all my questions patiently. I recommend him 100% for a vasectomy

Once again, Dr. Kwan thank you so very much for my dad's surgery. Well done! However, I must agreed with the rest of poor reviews about the person (nurse) that works for you and represent you at the Milton location. * The lack of communication between her and the patient about the surgery process was frustrating. * The poor follow up process after the surgery was annoying. * Lastly, but not least your nurse is rude, unpleasant and unprofessional. That can't be tolerated. In a world of unkindness the least that you can ask and hope for is to meet a nurse like the one that represents you Dr. Kwan. Good luck!

I was referred to Dr. Kwan by my GP. My appointments were both by phone and in person, and on every occasion Dr. Kwan was on time and well prepared to discuss my medical situation. His office efficiently did the scheduling for everything including the surgery and both Dr. Kwan and his staff promptly dealt with any concerns and issues I had, including a pre surgery prescription. Information on treatment options was very detailed and Dr. Kwan was very supportive of my final decision. I have total confidence in Dr. Kwan as a doctor of medicine and a surgeon. He is very busy but dedicated to patient health and well being. Thank you Dr. Kwan and staff. Robert Bell
