Bernadine describes herself in the following words, “I am happily married and recently moved to Canada from the Philippines in 2019. I value being caring, respectful and assisting others. These qualities inspired me to continue to be involved in the healthcare system. I worked as a registered nurse in the Philippines in a hospital and clinic before immigrating to Canada. My love and dedication in dealing with patients motivated me to continue being a nurse. I was inspired to study as a medical assistant and took my practicum at Saddletowne Chiropractic under Dr. John Bickert, a known chiropractor. Working in this field and hearing testimonies while seeing a lot of improvements in patients with different problems, sometimes as soon as after their first treatment, is exciting. A chiropractic approach to healthcare is often ignored and has become a last option for many.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not really what I was looking for in a chiropractor.
Between my two appointments he was late to see me by 45 minutes. The appointment itself was just a spinal adjustment then "ok bye go book another one with my assistant". It helped my back pain for maybe 2 hours then the pain returns, I even told him so on my second visit and he didn't even ask if it helped once he had adjusted me.
My new chiropractor takes the time to explain the causes of my pain, sent me for xrays to confirm his diagnosis, adjusts me then tells me what I should do at home to help my continued recovery and he checks up at the start of every appointment to see how the pain level is. Compared to that, unfortunately Dr. Bickert's office felt like a rushed cash grab.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr. Bickert is the best chiropractor. After I moved to another quadrant of the city, I've seen at least 5 other chiropractors over the years and there okay, but the latest pain I was having wasn't corrected after visiting 3 other chiropractors in my area. Made the drive back to Dr Bickert, and after his adjustment I was instantly relieved.
