★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had Doug out to look at a refrigerator that was only 1.5 years old. Was told it was not repairable but that he had a nice fridge that I would be happy with.
No warranty which should have been my first clue. It was plugged in and cold when I picked it up. I was away for 3 weeks but when I returned my tenant (whose fridge it was) said it was no longer cold. It turns out that the auto defrost was not working. Doug came out once to change the timer. After he left it did not work at all. He came back and changed our=t the part. Still no auto defrost. When I called him again after 3 week he cursed me out, said he was retiring and I could kiss his as_ and take him to court. I finally had a fellow out from Espanola who worked through the problem and discovered there was a broken wire in the wall of the fridge and it was not repairable. BEWARE. Bad temper and will sell you used products he knows do not work properly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beware!!! Bought a used washing machine for $250. Was told there was a 30 day warranty. After installing and cleaning the mold and mildew off everything and testing I decided to wash some sheets only to hear a very loud clunking noise during the wash cycle. Called Doug right away to make him aware and to see if he could stop by and take a look. He did later that day look at the machine and told me "that's just how this one supposed to sound" . He then offered me another machine he had and said it's not "noisy". I was told to bring back the noisy machine the next morning and he'd give me a newer, nicer machine for the same price. I said fine and returned the next morning to look at the newer machine, only to find a well used moldy machine. I guess he saw in my expression my disappointment in its condition and before I could say anything he lost lost it... like a child having a temper tantrum( Doug must be in his early 60's?). Then I asked if I could have the cheque back which he said he didn't have with him. So off to the bank for a $15 stop payment and then to Jake's for a new machine. I recommend Ray in Big Lake for repairs.
