About Double K Meats
Albert immigrated from England and homesteaded in the grasslands around Mortlach in 1908. Each generation since has expanded and added to the family farming operation, with the 5th generation of young rancher’s navigating the ropes and love for the ranch life. In August 2021 the family purchased the local abattoir at Chaplin, and launched the Butcher Block on the Prairies, a full custom cutting, retail and wholesale meat business.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This will be the second year I get my deer sausage made by Double K and last year was possibly the best made smokies and sausage I've had from a butcher shop. They have earned a customer for as long as I hunt.
