I could only stay 1 night because my daughter was so sick, and was charged a second night because i didnt check out until afternoon the next day. This place is only about the money, nothing else. I will not return. You cant fish if you cant sleep or rest and these shacks are beyond disguisting

We are not 5 star hotel people but good grief this place is falling apart. Ancient boats. Good motors though. Super wide open windy lake. Only go for Jackfish nothing else there. Quite the Experience ?
A	Ana M on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is too overpriced! The cabins are really old and stinky, I will never pay that amount of money for a cabin without a washroom. The beginning of the boat dock was full of mud, they could of at least put some sand to keep it less messy. Management should put more effort into keeping the place well maintained. They charged us even to use the propane BBQ right outside our cabin. Nice people and a quiet place, but everything else were bad. Would never come back.
A	Alain Lafond on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Duane and Val are exceptional hosts. My family have spent numerous spring and summer fishing trips at Dore Lake Lodge. Always a great time with memories that laughter and pictures can't do justice.Whether we arrive in a large group or just a couple of us we are always greeted with a genuine smile and handshake. A sincere welcoming that speaks louder than the rental charges but boldly states "Thank-you for being our appreciated guests. " You may find newer cabins and gold plated docks, but you would be hard pressed to find a more hospitable lodge.
A	Anthony1116 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sorry 1 star. This is a late review from a couple years back but the memory is fresh in my head. I went up with my mother 3 or 4 years ago. She grew up in the area from the 50's so she wanted to experience Dore Lake again from her childhood memories. I drove her up and we stayed 2 or 3 nights here. The cabins are absolutely terrible. We arrived and we both had to do a cleaning on arrival. It was not habitable at all to the point we both cleaned as best as possible so it was somewhat livable to spend time in there. Our beds were terrible. My bed frame was curved and not remotely straight at all which made for a terrible night trying to sleep. We had to pay for propane for the BBQ. For what we paid you would think they could at least chip that in. All in all, one of the worst experiences ever and for the expensive price you had to pay as well. Sorry. Lovely setting, terrible place to spend nights in.
S	Shane Reimer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First of all I was impressed with these guys quick response to my email inquiries... as well the boats are maintained and run well... they also cleaned our fish for us for a reasonable rate... this is a large lake and the average walleye are 26"... so I will be back for more! Overall a great experience...
