β β β β β Not as entertaining with all of the Covid restrictions, but we still had a good time!

β β β β β Good place to spend a couple hours with the kids. My boys 6 & 9 loved the lacrosse game in the field and the scavenger hunt in the museum especially. Very inexpensive too, compared to similar places. $23 including tax for myself and kids.

β β β β β What an amazing place to learn about our region's history. The animals were a definite hit the sheep are so vocal I loved it!! The workers are so helpful answering all our questions definitely have to check out Evan and Damien in the blacksmith shop so very interesting to watch them work hands on with the fire and metal. Great place to spend the day with the kids!

β β β β β I had the privilege of coming to Doon in the 1990βs with my manager Linda Underhill as we were attending a Living History Conference in the area. The site was just being built up and houses were still being moved onto their foundations, however, Mennonite Brothers and Sisters were occupying one home and welcomed me warmly inside to see quilting being done and small children whispered β do you want to see where the hobos sleep?β and we snuck up to the attic to find a pallet, plate, and fork waiting for a visitor. Plans for Doon was explained to us as we toured. Big plans for the Park!
The day l spent at Doon had been a highlight for me. I love doing first-person interpretation and to see things in such a large scale, I wanted to stay and participate.
Doon looks like a fabulous place to spend a day for the entire family.

β β β β β We went here with a registered (covid) walk around, they had booths set up with information and fun stuff. All buildings were closed which wasnt great, I doubt it would have made a difference with so few people anyways.
Our girst time here was terrible, people out of character complaining and gripping about wanting to go home, using bad language - we took a chance coming back here and they werent in costume which was disappointing but at least they were trying whjch is better than nothing.
Hoping for a better day in the future. Doon a
