★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been an adult student of Kandice's for a number of years. As an adult with no music background it is a challenge to embark on music education. Kandice is always encouraging and patient. I'm not sure how she has such patience listening to my pieces slowly move along. She always wants to make sure that I am learning what I want to learn and tailors my lessons to meet that goal.

I will recommend to all friends and family. I feel I get my money's worth at The Kitchener Academy of Music.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My 6 year old daughter has recently started piano lessons with Kandice. She is an extremely shy and also anxious child, but feels very comfortable coming for her lessons. Kandice has made it a very comfortable environment, is very kind and patient and also makes things fun! My daughter is excited to come to her lessons and she has been practicing diligently as there is a great (and fun) reward system in place to encourage her to practice. Kandice has a wonderful passion for music and it is extremely evident in her teaching!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’m an adult learner who’s learning violin with Lauren. Lauren’s teaching is so tailored to the student that I can feel how change in my posture/the way I play/use the bow affect my playing almost immediately. She really observe and would try different methods with me to help me improve. Her teaching is easy to understand and very cute that I’m sure the younger learners would enjoy too.

We have had nothing but positive experiences with all of the teachers from the school. They are incredibly professional and their passion for music and teaching is evident every single lesson (special shout out to Kandice, Beatrix and Ryan!). I highly recommend this school if you are considering music lessons for yourself or for your children.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a great place! I have two kids taking lessons, their teachers are great. There is so much learning happening while sustaining the joy of music, playing the type of music and songs that interests them. The studio itself is so friendly, easy and well organized. They pivoted so seamlessly to online during lockdowns, I was blown away at how on it they were! They also put themselves out there for extras, recording students for a virtual concert, boredom busters during lockdown, etc. Just a lovely group of people!
