Great place to help make Halloween special for the kids in this Covid year. Purchased full sized chocolate bars for those kids at a price that was less than those boxes of tiny pieces of candy in the usual outlets. ???

Today I had a bad experience today .my hands were full with Christmas shopping items and then when I reached the long line up at the cashier area I was able to view one of two cashiers a woman short and wide with blonde hair constantly coughing as she was making transactions to customers I thought there's supposed to be a protocol for employees at retail outlets or if they have any symptoms of covid-19 they're not allowed to come to work . I was shocked to stand there for three or four minutes constantly watching this employee at the cashier coughing away all the time I was waiting in line to check out . I thought no way in hell I'm going to get covid I during Christmas week.i threw down all of my items and proceeded to leave the store in fear of getting covid Omicron virus at the checkout area .it's so contagious I'm not sure Dollarama has any protocol when it comes down to employees working there. this was at Applewood Mall Mississauga Ontario 4:00p.m. December 22nd 2021

Dec 20/21 At around 4:30 pm we were being checked out at the cash by a small lady ( I think possibly of Indian decent). She was pulling the trigger on the price gun so fast and loading the merchandise into a bag so fast we caught her making three separate overcharges for the times that we were watching her. One time the manager came over to adjust the cash register for the correction necessary. I asked her to slow down about at least a half dozen times to no avail. She just kept going as fast as she could go, probably making more mistakes that we just could not catch. We spent over $109 dollars and paid cash using 2 fifties and 1 ten. She then dumped the receipt and the change into the bag even though I hand my hand out waiting for them both. I am sorry but this is not right. That is extremely poor workmanship under any circumstances, especially when working with the public. Had we not caught her we would have probably overpaid by approximately 8 to 10 dollars or quite possibly more! I don’t know your circumstances but 8 to 10 dollars is enough for me as I am retired on a fixed income. That is why I sometimes find it helpful to shop in a store like that!!! I understand that the lineup may have been a bit longer than usual but that is no excuse for that type of behaviour under any circumstances!!! FYI For your own information in the future stay away from that employee at the Applewood Plaza Dollerama!!!

This is such a great store. I haven't seen the manager in a while but he was really nice. It is always clean, mostly has what I'm looking for (can't blame them for low stock) and the staff are always friendly.
