District Brewing Co

What is Craft

Craft brewing refers to both the size of the brewery and the hands on dedication towards refining one’s pursuit. In Saskatchewan, craft brewers produce less than 5,000 hectoliters (500,000 Liters) of beer, per year. Here at District Brewing Co., we are passionate about all things beer. It is our goal to hand craft you the “perfect pint”. Our brewers use their refined senses and years of experience when brewing each small batch. Test us out for yourself and taste the craft difference!

We make all of our beer from just four ingredients: Malt, Hops, Water and Yeast.
Unlike cane sugar and other additives often found in draft beer, ours is simple, craft, and refreshing.

District Brewing Co
We are focused on showcasing quality ingredients, brewing technique and patience. We age our beer for a long, cold month to ensure the smoothest character. No shortcuts! We are constantly experimenting with new, as well as tried and true techniques, to master our craft and produce amazingly fresh and palatable beer.

Our four primary beers are distinct, dynamic and undeniably smooth lagers. They reflect the most consumed style of beer by our dedicated consumer base as well as many beer enthusiasts. The Festbier Marzen Lager, Bavarian Dark Lager, West Coast Style Wheat Lager and our German Pilsner Lager have gained award recognition and respect.

Our Brew Master

Our master brewer Mbaku Hamidu Admau has been brewing and innovating for over 10 years. While residing in his home country, Mbaku studied biochemistry and food processing, later obtaining a Master’s of Engineering in Agro-Industrial Food Processing from the University of Ngaoundere, Cameroon before moving to Canada. He found himself a home at District through his inspiration to brew simply because “beer makes people happy.” While he’s head brewer at District, Mbaku’s goal “is to make craft beer that is appealing to everyone”... I am the bartender at Jack Keatons BBQ & Grill. This review is about Jeff who I think is one of the top dogs for sales and marketing over at District. The guy is literally the nicest human being you could meet and all of our staff always enjoys seeing him come by. We also have one of the old retired brewers that comes by for a pint of the Pilsner and he is also a great guy. Seems like everyone from District is awesome and the beer is too haha.

I have been buying District beer over the last few years and have Ioved it from day 1 with Mus Knuckle. Well things have change and their variety of beer has grown so much. Three of their beers are now all that I buy to put in my fridge. The Dark is such a great mix of hefty flavour without bitterness. Was in Belgium last summer and District beer can hang with any that I had there. I would love to see District to try their hand at a Belgian Tripel (triple hops). Recently had my first big brewery beer in years at friend's house and I couldn't even finish it.

Honestly, District Brewing Company went above and beyond for me. I've been looking for a good alcohol-free beer during this global COVID-19 quarantine and I thought I'd give District's Zero a try and chose the home delivery option. Scott, a dreadfully nice guy, texted me to tell me when he'd deliver and kindly informed me that he'd only need to see ID through the window to avoid unnecessary contact - as we've all been asked to do right now. He left it on the porch for me. And, that's without mentioning that Scott went out of his way to deliver to me on a Saturday on Easter long weekend. Zero is maybe the best alcohol-free beer I've ever tried. That fact, combined with the impeccable service, means I'll absolutely be coming back to District again.

Hadn't experienced them much because I quit drinking before they existed. However they recently released a zero alcohol beer which has been awesome! The service since I've started using them has also been phenomenal!

I got a beer and didn’t really like it. I politely asked if I could have a different one, after only having one sip of my original. The bar tender promptly said no, as did the manager. Is this the end of the world? No. However, there are way too many bars in this area to have poor customer service. The money they saved by not just giving me a different beer they have now lost by me not going back. Also, they might lose money by someone reading this review and deciding to go else where. Bottom line, customers come first.

It’s all in how you handle a bad experience, and District Brewing went out of their way to make sure they didn’t lose a customer. Thanks!

The beer is able to hang with anyone and that's not just a single beer. That is everything they do. High level, high quality. Easily the best brewery in Birmingham.
