Really enjoy this hike. Ended up doing it twice in a week. Seems like a good training trail as well. I did once with cloud cover and again clear sky.

This hike is a good leg and cardio workout. Takes from 3 1/2 hours to 5 hours depending on your speed and how long you stop. It is rated an intermediate trail and there are some steeps sections. Be careful on some of the vistas as there are some steep cliff areas. Bring water and snacks along with your camera for some great scenic photos. I prefer to start from the south end of the Buntzen Lake Parking Lot and go from south to north. Joins up with the Buntzen Lake loop to get you back. If you bring your dog be mindful of the steep cliff and bring them some water. Best to enjoy the hike on a sunny day to enjoy the views. Come early as when the parking lot is full you need to park outside the park. Enjoy.

Did this hike in the rain, our group was pretty inexperienced, and it was a tough go, weather report had hinted that weather was going to clear out, it didn’t happen for us. Did it without trekking poles but wish I had ( the descent wAs a bit rough on the old knees). Markers as tiny but there are a lot of them, sometimes on knocked down trees which can make them hard to find, but definitely plentiful. Our group is not the most athletic bunch we just started doing “ real hikes” and this was on the challenging end, took a few breaks.

Had a great time hiking this on the weekend. The trail starts off fairly steep from the get-go, and the section right before the first viewpoint is as steep as it gets. After that, it's just a fairly easy-going walk to the remaining vistas. The first four are the most scenic, after which you'll find most of them relatively blocked by trees. I wasn't as big a fan of where the trail begins to descend - the forest becomes a bit more sparse and brown, and it's a fairly steep descent at times. Allow 6 hours at most if you plan on stopping or having a bite to eat. If youre quick, this can be done in under 4. Definitely bring plenty of water and a few trail snacks.

Absolutely great hike, even on an overcast day. Some of the vistas don't offer much of a view anymore due to tree growth. It's 16.5 km if you go around Buntzen, too--our young dog must have done 25 km running back and forth between the young people and the adults. Even the 10 year old terrier made it all the way on her own.

Absolutely stunning views looking back towards Vancouver on a sunny day. Started at the Parking Lot and followed the signs for the counter-clockwise direction (though these were obeyed at a similar rate to most Covid restrictions). Was actually a win going that way as the Lake was like glass first thing in the morning and got great photos on the bridge looking down the lake. Took about 2 hours to reach the main lookout (#3 is best - where the Google maps pin is for the trail). Then 1.5hrs down (pretty steep). Well formed and interesting track. Highly highly recommend!

Great hike. Very steep at the beginning and on the way back down. Hiking sticks would be nice to have. Also great trail for trail running so get your trail running shoes on. Multiple views but this is the main one

A nice hike. Most of the pathway up is pretty well kempt albeit it is a bit narrow. It took my partner and I around 3.5 hours (I was really slow because I haven’t been super well lately). I thinkk most people finish in under 3 hours.
