Had a horrible experience with this business. They are liars and will try to scam you. I posted a review on Facebook detailing our dealings with them and they deleted their Facebook account. Their work they did lasted about 5 minutes and they would not accept responsibility for their poor work. They charged us an additional $1300 after the original estimate had been signed without contacting us, and were not able to produce a second estimate when AMVIC got involved. They managed to abuse the system to avoid prosecution, but had committed an administrative offence under AMVIC policy which are dealt with internally and confidentiality. They also had on their site that they were BBB accredited, which they are NOT. Do not trust what this company will tell you, because they will take advantage of you.

We brought our Tandem in for a CVIP inspection. Initial quote was around $5000, so we decided to do a couple of the welding repairs ourselves as we have an ex welder on staff to lower the bill. In the end our bill was even higher than the initial and some of the parts costs had increased somehow. After talking to the service manager he lowered the cost of some of the parts to the original quote level. Overall not very happy with the service as after calling Kenworth for a quote on the same items they were lower... Should've just brought it to the dealer

Brought a bus in for an out of province inspection. The staff was very professional, knowledgeable, made the necessary repairs and had the vehicle back to me in a very reasonable amount of time. I have no problem recommending this shop to anyone.

The experience we had dealing with this business was dismal at best and began from the onset of getting work done on our vehicle. We dropped off our vehicle knowing that there was extensive work required and informed the shop of all the work that we knew had to get done. They did their own diagnostic and gave us an estimate that we agreed to. They began their work and we tried to contact them to get updates throughout the entire process. We called six separate times asking for an update, each time with the employee from the front desk telling us she did not know anything and that she would have the mechanic call us back with an update. We would not hear back from the mechanic that day, so we would call again, only to get the same response. When the mechanic finally did reach out to us, his updates were brief with no tangible information on when the work would be done. Three weeks after initial drop off, we were informed that the work was all done and that we could pick up our vehicle. Once we got there, the final bill was $1300 more than their estimate. When questioned about this, there wasn’t really any explanation. We payed the bill without having a good understanding of our consumer rights. The next day, we realized we were leaking more oil than we were when our vehicle entered their care. We assumed it was just residual oil left over from the work and got an oil change done (which should’ve been done at the shop when the entire engine had been taken apart) and the mechanic there mentioned it to us. We were on a tight schedule to make it across the country for personal reasons and was not made aware of DTTR’s warranty policy. Once we got back to the east coast, we got our engine looked at by another mechanic, and it was clear to him that they had used poor technique to fix our valve cover gasket, which almost made us buy a whole new valve cover. They effectively made the leak larger, and because this part is so deep in the engine the only way to realize the poor work was to take it all apart (hours of work). Our new mechanic was thankfully able to bend back the dent that they created and replace the gasket without hammering or smashing. Once we realized how large of an issue this was, we tried contacting the shop, resulting in the same story as before - not being able to get in touch with the mechanic or owner of the shop. Once we finally got in contact with one of the mechanics, he was able to recollect the vehicle and all the work done. When asked about where the $1300 extra had come from, there was no answer. Then when asked about the work on the valve cover, he informed me that the owner had done it himself and would have him call me. He did not. I called back the next day and asked for him to call me mid day. He did end up calling me and again, struggled to coherently explain to me the extra expenses and then when I asked him about the work on the valve cover, he told me that the man I spoke with the day before had fixed it. This leads me to believe that they either lied to us about fixing it at all, or they are not confident enough in their work to take ownership of it. I would never recommend this shop to anyone under any circumstances, you will pay more than you agreed to, there will be bigger problems with it when it leaves and there is a complete lack of costumer service. If you must go here, be very vigilant on getting everything in writing because they will lie about the communication you’ve had. They like to operate on a verbal agreement basis which is hard to dispute or debate when trying to take legal action. I have filed a complaint through AMVIC and from my understanding there were violations with administrative procedures. 0/5 Edit: if you're looking for a quick response, leave a review here. They responded within an hour but took days to respond to phone calls. Update: they continue to deny any violations against them through AMVIC, but they most definitely do. Also, they claimed to be accredited by the Better Buisness Bureau when in fact they were not. Do not trust this business.

I was very happy with the service that DTTR did replacing the two faulty alternators on my Ford work vehicle. It was a hard job to do and took longer than expected for them but they honored the initial quote that they gave. When a problem occurred on the way home from their shop after the job was completed, the manager Kyle Smyth came a good hour out of his way to meet me on the highway and fix it at no extra charge. I appreciate all the hard work the guys put into the job. He then called to make sure I arrived home safely after that. Great work ethic, professional committment and a true concern for their customers. I highly recommend their team.

This is a super shop. Been dealing here for the past 4 years. Kyle and Darren have not let me down. Having an older tractor, my needs are met while understanding the time constraints and get me going asap This is paramount in my situation as time is money. I would recommend this shop to anyone In the industry. It has taken me a very long time to find a shop that had met all my needs and maintained a professional and friendly atmosphere. Update The work is quality BUT THE WARRANTY IS WORTH NOTHING !!!

I am adding to my post because these guys are that good. They are on top of warranty, took them no time to fix. A truly honest, caring and awesome group to deal with from front counter staff to managers. I cant say enough good about this company. Thanks again I am very happy. Had 12 pages of work done to my 2005 dodge and they made sure everything was good. Kyle thanks man you guys are an honorable business that will definitely get the silver dodge I have that needs all the same work. Front office ladies are very pleasant to deal with also.

DTTR bends over backwards to provide a great service. Can’t say enough about how accommodating and professional the staff is. I bring my work truck and my private vehicle here. They gave me nothing but cause to praise them.
