Delta Hotels by Marriott Winnipeg

The hotel was clean and I really appreciated the balcony as a way to get some air without having to go all the way downstairs and out. As well, the bathroom floor was heated and this was much appreciated for a winter stay. All the staff was friendly from the barista, the bar staff and front of house. The only downfall was the fact that my vehicle got broken into while parked in the underground parking garage and I had paid for a parking package feeling somehow this would give me more security and a wee discount on parking prices. Mine was not the only one that night as at least one other vehicle had its vehicle smashed out. As well, when I moved to park in a different spot so that maintenance could clean up the broken glass, I saw that the truck I parked next to also had plastic taped around one of its windows and I saw another vehicle with same later on that day. One of the maintenance people said that it was the third time in as many weeks that this had happened to guests at the hotel and it is an ongoing problem. The manager, Douglas, was apologetic and bought my coffee and breakfast that morning, as well as gave me the requisite information to file an online complaint with the Winnipeg police. Apparently, car break-ins are so common in downtown that the police don't bother to come out unless there is physical injury. I am a Marriot fan and this is the first time I've ever had this kind of issue while staying at a Marriot so it will not deter me completely to stay from Marriot properties. Perhaps a wee bit as I decided against staying at the Civic Autograph hotel in downtown Surrey for similar misgivings. I'll get over it, in time, I'm sure. Thank you for the stay, nevertheless. I do like the Delta branch of Marriots.

Stayed a few months ago. Visited for a meeting this time. I love delta hotels. Always clean and safe while being in the heart of the downtown. Great staff.

It was a great stay with comfortable bed and clean room along with great customer service. The complimentary breakfast as well as the in-room dining service were all delicious and beautiful! It has been my designated hotel in Winnipeg for many years. Will continue staying here! Highly recommended.

Nice hotel. Friendly staff. I love the heated floors in the bathrooms. Has good options for food, coffee and snacks. If the hotel doesn’t have what you need, there is lots within walking distance.

Easily access to Winnipeg JAR Int'l Airport via the #15 and a walk. Lobby is BEAUTIFUL, with a deli and a bar. Couldn't have been designed better. Rooms are lovely (get one near the pool like I did). Overall, just a nice hotel!

I am here on a 4 day stay and it's raining outside and i have had about enough of the rain and the 'rough' downtown streets. So on this Saturday night a couple of people ( four of us ) sat down to have a visit on some empty chairs on the second floor lobby .We were had previously been at the pool but understandably after 11 we were asked to leave as there are rooms in the area . I completely understand that. So rather than go to a room where we could bother neighbours, we went downstairs . The restaurant had closed so we were just looking for a place to sit .We were asked to leave. There was indeed a party in the room on this floor , sure. but no one was in the space and we were not taking up seats or anything We are adults and were just sitting and talking. I will gladly pay more to stay in a place that has better shared areas.

Positive very friendly staff and nice pool, however I won't be staying here again. Big thing for me personally was the way end of trip invoices were only halfway tucked under hotel room doors, anyone walking by could have grabbed one and found out some personal information. In our room the bathroom sink was backed up, shower didn't have much pressure, rooms were almost 200/night.

Positive: We felt valued. We appreciated getting a sofa in our room which I think was an upgrade. The breakfast was lovely. Everything was really lovely. It was our anniversary getaway and we had a wonderful time. Thank you! Negative: Everything very good.
