Darbar - The King's Court
Darbar (Hindi: दरबार, Urdu: دربار) is a Hindi-Urdu word which is Persian-derived, meaning the Kings' noble court where ceremonial gatherings and official discussions are held. Darbar are, therefore, lavishly decorated with the best possible materials available at the time.
The most famous Darbar belonged to Great Emperors and Kings. In the North, cities like Udaipur, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaiselmer, and Agra have palaces that adorn such magnificent halls. The Mughal Emperor Akbar had two halls; one for his ministers and the other for the general public.
In the south of India, the Mysore Palace had a number of such halls, especially the Peacock Hall, having colour tinted glasses imported from Belgium, which were used for marriage ceremonies.
The Darbar Hall in the Khilawat Mubarak, in the city of Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, was the Darbar hall of the Nizams of Hyderbad.
Beneath the main Dome of the Rastrapati Bhavan (Presidential Palace of India) is present, the grand Darbar Hall, where many state functions presided by the President of India are held.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best Indian food restaurant in regina. Me and my friends went on Mother’s Day and as expected restaurant was super busy serving 70-80 people at a time. I was so impressed with the humble service I got and food was soo tasty. Quality of the food was not compromised at all even in the super busy hours. Absolutely the best Indian restaurant in regina. Menu is very exciting and in love with Paneer Dilruba. Customer service at its best ??. Must try restaurant in regina !!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was my second-time experience in Darbar as I only visit Regina during Christmas time but believe me the staff or the chef never fails my expectations. Each item of the restaurant and the customer service is impressive.
During this pandemic, they are also following every rule for the safety of their cost and the staff. Kudos to the whole team and special applause to the chef.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Authentic delicious East Indian cuisine made so that any level of spicy heat tolerance can enjoy it. I want the flavor but not the spicy heat and this is my go to East Indian restaurant. They are friendly and the food is exceptional. When we go, my husband can get his super hot and I know that I'll always get consistent mild and never have to second guess what I've ordered like I have majority of other East Indian restaurants.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ordered a few days ago for the first time, heard good things, and can honestly say it was well worth it. The food was stellar and delicious, good portions properly packed for takeout, very affordable, service was great and very confident but but in a showy way they know they are good and are proud of it. I will be ordering again. Absolutely must try the chicken 65, it was unreal how good it was.
