★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Traveling North to Sioux Narrows? Our family has for 70 years and since Matthew's store closed (and K&M MiniMart) you will be well served to stop at Dalseg's. They have everything you need and John et al in the meat department will almost make you swear off walleye.We not only stop there, we make the drive back to Nestor Falls most weeks to get good meats, veggies and produce. Pleasant people that seem to like you as a customer - novel eh?
And if you are in Sioux Narrows for the season, the Laundromat is right next store and Dalseg's pleasantly provides coins for the washers/dryers.
One negative, the bait store in the mini mall changed hands a year ago and the experience there has declined.
Check their hours if you are ice fishing because their off-season hours are not convenient to those of us traveling 14+ hours

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Is little store has everything you need. They have an on site butcher. they make homemade sausage & London Broil. For a small village store their prices are very good. fresh produce with an on site LCBO!! Check them out when passing through Nestor Falls.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely not what it was back in the day. Very limited stock. Meat selection was almost nonexistent. Even last summer, the selection of meat products was very weak. I think there is some renovations as there is shelves missing. Only redeeming qualities of Dalseg's is that the staff are very friendly & (after September 4) will be the only place to purchase beer etc (although very limited choices) I live in Sioux Narrows. I unfortunately won't go to Nestor Falls anymore for any reason. Kenora (reluctantly) will get my business. I always try to support local but Dalseg's definitely isn't in my future. I'm sad about it & I understand but bottom line is, we simply need things that are just not available. This pandemic has hurt all of us.
