★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This School is terrible, the staff has a bias towards the students on the sports teams. Also the school cares more about its sports facilitys than the actual class rooms. This is one on the most ghetto schools in winnipeg

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have a daughter that graduated June/16. I want to say that for the four years that my daughter attended Dakota Collegiate, the teaching and administrative staff were outstanding. In any of my dealings with either, I was extremely happy with the enthusiasm and dedication that the staff displayed.
My daughter was a member of the Cheer team for a number of years and I personally observed the energy and commitment that the coaching staff put into the team. The sheer amount of free hours that the coaching staff put in to the Cheer program, were incredible. " who works for free anymore"? The success of the team and The continued "good" reputation of the School was primarily because of the the staff that gave over and over again, to teach and encourage the students to be the best they could be.
My only disappointment was that at the graduation dinner, there was no recognition given to the individuals that gave so so many hours of their own time, to help coach and support ( in this case, the Cheer team) the girls. This was time away from their own families and sometimes even their own jobs.
I am a very grateful parent and I totally support Dakota Collegiate.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Teachers are good but the principals are/were completely rude and just plain out mean. I got suspended multiple times for absolutely no reason. They go through your phones without permission from you or your parents and they take your personal belongings for a whole semester or longer. The principals give you and the people you hang out around dirty looks and if i could rate the school lower than a one star i 100% would. Would not recommend this school to anyone i could go on forever about the bad things about it.
