โ โ โ โ โ I had the Dahlak combo with awaze one day and chachsa beef the next day. Everything was so flavourful and delicious. Love the warm spices and sauces and injera! I love that injera is delicious and nutritious too. The dishes had the perfect amount of heat for me. Will definitely be back.

a pickup order.
Something minor: the ordering process on the phone was a bit unsmooth, resulting in wrong order.
The interior has its own characteristics, but looks somewhat dated.
Overall, we hope the menu could explain a bit more about the foods and provide more options for different food preferences.
I've never had Ethiopian food before.
Not sure if I ordered the wrong dish,
but the Chicken and Lamb Tibsi both come with lots of (too much) thin 'bread' that look interesting but taste sour.
The chicken meats are soaked in sauce with lots of (too much) oil. No greens come with any of the Tibsi's; the website images show otherwise. The tastes are not bad, but a bit too strong for us.
Also tried Hummus Caramalized Onions. The bread tastes ordinary / dry, which is ok. I would prefer having this bread to go with Tibsi's. The sauce seems to be made of beans with added oily sauce.
Ended up with leftover of lots of those thin sour 'bread' for Tibsi's that we don't know whatelse to go with.
Value wise, it depends on how you like the thin sour bread;
but for us it's way too much, and we are more interested in the meats which are not enough compared to other restaurants.
Free street parking available on Edmonds and 6th.

โ โ โ โ โ Had a great time here with a friend. The menu wasn't overly large, so it was easy to find something to eat. Everything is authentic and tasty. We had the Hummus and this chicken dish where you use the dough to scoop it up like a spoon. Super tasty and loved the spicy kick to it! I love trying new foods and would recommend this to anyone.

โ โ โ โ โ Absolutely delicious. Of the 5 ethiopian restaurants I've tried in the lower mainland, this is easily the best. We had the Dahlak Platter (veggies + chicken tibsi) and the Chachbsa beef, which was a new dish to me and easily a new favourite.
Have only had takeout so far, but the pickup experience made me want to come back with a group to dine in - great music and friendly service.

โ โ โ โ โ I've never tried Ethiopian food before and I was very surprised of how good it was! Delicious and flavourful.
Service was also great. Staff are friendly.
Price as well is amazing. For what you pay you get a lot! And it isn't overly expensive.
Would definitely recommend trying this place out

โ โ โ โ โ We ordered a meat platter between the two of us, the portion is more than it seems. The food came up hot and smells heavenly good, we love the different tastes of the meat and also the injera. The chief was very nice and came out to ask us about the food, the waitress was also very nice and had a nice smile. We look forward to coming back and trying something else.
They had a small parking lot behind the restaurant that is shared among two other restaurants and if you don't park in the right stall, they will ask you to move your car.

โ โ โ โ โ First time here and ordered the Dahlak combo. I must say that I am impressed with the food!
The lamb, veggies, tibsi and injera was well cooked. Compliments to the chef!
I plan to come back here again with more friends.
