I don't know where the good ratings coming from. I trusted the reviews and ordered take out. Was expecting spicy style but not spicy at all. Portion sizes so small. The noodles stocked together and some were dried up already. Terrible restaurant. Will never order again.

Ordered the duck vermicelli soup, Chongqing noodles and dumplings. Flavour was really good and the level of spice was not bad, but could be a bit spicier. Was pretty disappointed in the amount of vermicelli that was in my duck soup.... It's vermicelli (i.e. cheap) so I don't get why there was such a little amount. All in all, for the price we paid I really wish the portions were bigger. Gonna miss those dumplings though.

An excellent addition to the restaurant options in the area. All dishes we ordered are good with the stuff chicken wing being the best. Friendly and fast service.

The food was decent, but there was poor communication throughout the ordering process. They ran out of stock for noodles, and we asked to change the order to rice. They said the change was okay and it wasn't until the delivery person brought the food that we were informed that we needed to pay an additional $3 to complete the order. If we had known there would be a fee to substitute the noodles (that they ran out of) we would not have asked for it.

Taste was great and authentic. It is on the pricy side for the style of food it serves. The main courses are a good size but the appetizer is a very small portion for $15...

Recently, I noticed that a new restaurant opened up on Edmonds Street called Lualu Kitchen. The interior is a bit spartan but clean and they use outdoor patio furniture chairs inside. I ordered the Chive and Pork Dumplings ($10.99) on my first visit. I originally wanted to try their stuffed chicken wings but they said that it takes a while to prepare it. The boiled dumplings had a good filling and they had soy sauce, vinegar, and chili tableside to spice up the flavour of the dumplings. On my second visit here, I tried their Chongqing Style Noodles ($8.89 plus $3.89 for added braised beef shank). The braised beef shank was quite tender but it was served cold and I needed to dunk it into the hot broth to heat it up. Speaking about the broth… it was quite spicy and I could feel my chest radiating heat after I finished it. You know, the kind of spiciness that clears your sinuses and makes you want to sweat. In any event, the noodles were actually quite good and had a very tender texture. Overall, the menu is pretty limited (but that might be because they’ve only just opened). I’ve been trying to order their stuffed chicken wings but they never have it when I show up. Note that it’s also cash or debit only.

I would give 0 star if I could. The worst food I got ever! I ordered the duck soup, the picture on Uber eats shows some vegetables and beans in the soup, so I was expecting that. I ordered it as a lunch, but it turns out that the soup was watery and only 4 small pieces of duck in it with some radish. That’s all in the soup, and it charged me 19.59 for this before tax and delivery fee. I’m so disappointed by this restaurant. I highly recommend that don’t go to this place! To save your money and lunch!
