Custom Orthopedic Ltd. & The Walk Shoppe! - Edmonton

I had phoned Custom Orthopedics to begin my journey of finding a reputable and integrity based place to get orthotics for my shoes. I do not recall whom I spoke with, but she was very professional, helpful and patient as I asked her many questions on the process, insurance claims, etc. I suffer with intensely painful Achilles Tendonitis and hoped to find some relief, so I booked an assessment right away. The greeting I received was warm, welcoming and organized. Then I met Tim, the Pedorthist. Tim was super friendly, knowledgable and answered any questions I had. He provided me with much “take away” information and tips, in order to reduce my pain and aid in my healing. All the while, he was assessing my feet. I think the whole process took about 35-40 minutes and then he took me into The Walk Shoppe and showed me the types of shoes to look for. He was not pushy with the sales, which I appreciate - pushy, inauthentic sales people are the reason I leave many retail establishments. A lot of times, I get they’re just doing their jobs, but that’s my point! At The Walk Shoppe, the staff are not like that. They will ask if you need help, but leave you alone, if that’s what you choose. By the time I left, I was armed with knowledge, fully completed insurance forms and hope. I picked my orthotics up in 3 weeks time - they make them onsite, which I LOVE! I love supporting small business in my community. I have only had them just over a week, so there’s some getting used to proper support, but I can already feel a difference in how my feet feel walking. I was also reassured that, if I have any problems with my orthotics, I can bring them back in and they will adjust them for me. All in all, I am beyond pleased with my experience at Customer Orthotics and The Walk Shoppe - I will definitely be a regular customer there and recommend them to anyone having pain from lack of proper footwear.

A great and reliable place for my custom foot orthotics and compression stockings! This is my second time visiting after my father's custom orthotics. Referred myself back here because he was so satisfied with his. Tim and Cathy were so accommodating to me from the beginning on the phone to inquire and when I got my sizing done. Tim is your certified Pedorthist, a patient and educated man. Not to waste time, Tim was very organized and along the way when sizing, Tim would educate me about my foot and why all this mattered. I was very intrigued by the whole anatomy of the foot and leg - I can see why the maintenance of the foot is important. Pamphlets are available if you don't have the time. So, I would 105% recommend this local shop to anyone looking to benefit from their benefits provider or insurance because you have to appreciate what all your feet does for you. And if you don't have the benefits, well, its still worth it. Save up money to long term care for your feet! I'll be back to refer others! Thank you

Great customer service. Tim was amazing. What a delightful personality. He took the time to explain everything in detail that I needed to know about my feet and how orthotics work and the best shoes to wear for walking and to wear around the house because my feet hurt, a lot. I am grateful for his time and patience with me and also his staff were all wonderful, pleasant, friendly and caring. Best orthotic service I've had so far and I've been to a few. I love this place. I've been twice and I will be again. I have wide feet and I struggled to find shoes that properly fit me. Not a problem here. The staff are super friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to help. They have a good selections of great quality footwear. I recommend 100%.

I had my orthotics made there years ago and I still wear them. I had my new orthotics made in town, Fort McMurray, and they are not the same. If you want professional services and really tailor your orthotics to your needs, this is the place to go.

Amazing experience!! Amazing customer service! I had been to a podiatrist and I was told I have plantar fasciitis, they scanned my feet and told me I could order custom insoles my whole appointment was maybe five minutes. I decided to shop around for custom orthotics and came across custom orthotics and the walk shop and I’m so glad I did! They took the time to educate me on plantar fasciitis, shoes & slippers , what to look for when shopping for shoes and so much more. 10/10 recommend this company!!

I can't say enough great things about the service at this location. They took time to explain my questions in great detail about issues I was having. I found so much comfort and relief with my first pair of custom insoles I went right back and bought a second. Super friendly staff, very knowledgeable, and patient. Were also able to help me get everything I needed in order to resolve issues with my insurance claim for my benefits. Highly recommended.
