k	kelsuejul CAmail32 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ * W A R N I N G - APPLYING FOR ESTATE PROBATE* My two siblings retained this office for services to apply for a simple probate application - citing them as their "family lawyer". We waited for over 10 months with no follow up. The lawyer had told us that probate applications are taking over "9 months to a year". I contacted the provincial court and discovered that our application had never been filed or received. Also during Covid, I was told probate applications should only take 3 to 4 months to complete. The lawyer said our application was "misfiled" and/or "lost"? If the probate application had been correctly filed and paid - the court would issue a file number within approximately 2 weeks. The lawyer reapplied for probate and we encountered further delays due errors in the application. It had taken this office almost 18 months to complete probate. Omitting to their poor services, they had offered to complete the remaining probate services at no charge. I had accepted, but later they reneged this offer when asked. OUR EXPERIENCES - poorly mismanaged application - no follow up with the court, grossly misinformed information, very poor comminications if any, and high fees.
