First used Cruise Vacations in 2005. Specialists I used was a gentleman by the name of Chris. He ended up booking my 1st two cruises. He spent time with me, asked a ton of questions and steered my wife and I in the right direction. I've since booked a few more cruises with Cruise Vacations. I have to say that I was disappointed. Mistakes were made by two sisters who booked one of my cruises. Thank god I had some cruising experience and caught the mistakes that were made. I tried booking a cruise last summer for this past February of 2020. I informed the specialist what I wanted, a midship balcony cabin on a higher floor. Told her I would also look at a midship mini suite on an upper floor. I had done my homework and new what was available and for how much. Cruise Vacation Specialist came back to me and tried to upsell me a Spa Mini Suite for quite a bit more. Telling me that's what was available. I wasn't interested using the spa. I was disgusted and just told her no thanks. Either she didn't know what was available or simply lied. I booked myself and purchased a midship mini suite (15204) on the Norwegian Escape Feb. 22nd. I spoke to this same specialist a couple years prior and inquired about an Australia/New Zealand cruise. We talked and I informed her I would have to iron out a few details with respect to hotels in Australia post cruise. We agreed on a time frame when she would call me back. She never called. I guess I could have called her back but I expect a sales person to follow through on their commitments. I guess Cruise Specialists like Chris are no longer around or he was one of a kind. I feel for first time cruisers now a days. They are at the mercy of the people they are dealing with. Product knowledge, honesty, commitment, and a specialist's time goes a very long way when spending $$$ on a dream vacation.

Megan is the travel agent we deal with. We have used her services on several occasions and have always been treated in a very friendly, helpful way. Her knowledge of the cruise industry is very helpful. We will continue to use her services for any upcoming trips.

They then follow through - not only with making the appropriate reservations, but then following up to ensure your travel plans take place as expected, and that you are completely satisfied with their service. Megan is our travel consultant and we use her exclusively for travelling three to four times a year. People ask us on a continual basis why we use a travel consultant, especially since we could arrange much of it ourselves. The answer is easy - we trust her and in many cases she finds deals or air travel that we would not have discovered. On complicated routes she has probably saved us several thousand dollars and made our air travel so much simpler. Then add in if there are any issues with the airlines, cruise companies, etc - Megan fights the battle for us and the companies listen to a travel agent who has the power not to use them in the future. We are completely satisfied with Cruise Vacations and refer their services to many of our friends and acquaintances.
