Cristini Athletics - CrossFit Markham

I joined CFM 3 years ago because I needed a change from my regular boring workout routine. Since then CFM has become like family to me, the coaches are top notch and welcomed me from the start, I did not feel intimidated at all jumping into Crossfit for the first time. I am much fitter now and have met many friends through the gym. CFM has helped me survive this quarantine with their support and sense of community. I've been doing online PT sessions with Coach Oscar, and it's amazing how he's able to pick up cues through video chats, it feels no different than being in the gym. I would definitely recommend CFM to anyone who's looking for accountability, motivation or just looking to stay fit through this quarantine.

The coaches are top notch. They take the time to understand your goals and help you work towards them. The Gym is amazing and the people are fun and supportive. Great Atmosphere to get fit!

If you are looking for a Crossfit gym, Crossfit Markham is the place you will want to be. I've been a Crossfit member for years now, and I love everything they offer. There is a variety of daily workouts given, and their classes are spread throughout the day and evening. The coaches makes you feel welcomed from Day 1. I love the feeling of community and how we are pushed and motivated each day to be better.

CrossFit Markham has truly been a life-changing experience. I was never a “gym-guy”, never liked the idea of doing workouts. Daunted by the idea to be honest. But the amazing culture, encouragement, quality instruction and equipment at CFM turned me into a believer - in this process and myself. I’ve met amazing people and seen incredible results. You can too.

I've been doing CrossFit for a number of years now. During that time, I've learned an array of new skills, made a bunch of friends, and visited a handful of CrossFit gyms/boxes. I'm not going to make wild statements like "CrossFit Markham is the greatest gym that has ever been", but I will make strong statements like "CrossFit Markham is an excellent gym, with fantastic coaches, a healthy selection of equipment, space, friendly members, and a whole lot of sweat." CFM is just now reaching its tenth year. The Cristini family originally opened the gym in a much smaller space, but over time they out grew it and moved to north Markham, just shy of Major Mackenzie on Markham Road. They also eventually added a sister gym a little while west in Woodbridge; Reebok CrossFit East Woodbridge. Like I alluded to, the gym has plenty of space. Enough space so that once you're a member, there is no need to sign up for classes ahead of time, or register for Open gym. Just show up with your game face and shoes. Equipment wise, they've got just about everything you can reasonably ask for and then some. Some less common items include atlas stones, a handstand walk ramp and stairs, a peg board (that hasn't been set up yet), AirRunners, and a ski erg. As far as the coaching goes, these guys know their stuff. Sure, you can expect owners and CrossFit Games athletes Steve and Chris to know a thing or two, but across the board, the coaches have a good foundation of knowledge, and each of them carries expertise in some area. But what good is knowledge without the ability to communicate? Not so good. Thankfully, that's no issue with these guys and gals :) I'm happy to train at CFM, and looking forward to continuing. Aside from the regular, annoying CrossFit fee, these guys don't attempt to pressure you to buy into extras, and they're passionate about getting people fit, and keeping them fit. Give a couple classes a shot if you get a chance. Maybe CrossFit and CFM are for you.

The Cristinis run a great program. Challenging and progressive. Suitable for all skill levels. They encourage, motivate and make you keep coming back for great results. Highly recommended!

Amazing community to be part of! Coaches genuinely care for you and your growth physically + mentally. I love how its not your typical gym. 10/10 would recommend this place in a heart beat.
