Awesome beach and sand! The beach faces west, so on hot days, you're in the direct sun all day. Personal beach umbrellas is a nice break from the sun. Great day area and park too! Only a few picnic tables but not a problem if you bring your own chairs. Great for the whole family!

Boat launch is out of commission for the 2022 season. Avoid Crimson Lake if you plan on doing any boating. Park will not provide an update as to when it will be fixed...the Park even shared that they don't have a contractor booked yet and or a timeline to have it fixed...

Great hikes around the lake. As the water was freezing you could hear high pitched whistles that reverberated throughout the forest.

Crimson Lake provincial park includes the campground, beach and trail around Crimson Lake itself. It also includes Twin Lakes which is close by. There is a campground, group camp, fishing dock and a walking trail. Only non motorized boats are allowed. I walked the trail. It is about 2.4 km each way and is shared by walkers and bicycles. The trail is packed dirt and has some small elevation changes. It can be used year round although it gets icy at times. There are some Lake views but most of the trail is through the forest.
