β β β β β I can't begin to tell you how helpful this service is - and at no charge! We went in feeling overwhelmed by debt and embarrassment and left feeling empowered.
Our counselor was extremely kind and considerate and non-judgmental. He laid out all of our options and the sound reasoning of why it would/would not work in our particular situation. Very, very helpful.
While we still have a mountain of debt, we have been provided very clear steps in how to get to the summit and down the other side in one piece.

β β β β β Rick was great, he made us feel at ease and laid out our options in a manner that we could understand so that when we left the meeting we were confident that we understood the pros and cons of each option. Without this understanding there is a good chance we would have chosen the wrong option for our situation.

The wonderful counsellor was so patient, kind and understanding, and at no time did I feel rushed or patronized. Everything was clearly explained and details were e-mailed to me. Bless this life changing service!

β β β β β Very good customer service on the phone, and also enjoyed my in person appointment at the office in Victoria. My questions/concerns were handled in a professional manner without judgement. Discussed some helpful budgeting tips as well as some helpful info re: savings/retirement and paying off debt. Will refer my friends here and continue to consult with them in the future! β β β β β I was made to feel comfortable and secure right away. After quickly reviewing my documents, Craig congratulated me for coming in before my financial and legal situations got any worse.
He offered a couple of excellent suggestions I had not thought of, and that I was able to followup on immediately.
Craig is an excellent listener, compassionate, and knowledgeable.
At the end of the day I felt confident that coming in early had been the right decision, and a followup appointment would not be necessary. I highly recommend the Society's Victoria office. I'm feeling much better.
