What an amazing place! The history of the hall is a real gem in Cranbrook. The tours are incredible and you really feel like you're stepping back in time. A lot of great activities/workshops for children. Additionally, a wonderful wedding venue. Val and her team are determined to ensure you have the perfect space for your special day. 10/10 would recommend.

As tourists this was a great place to visit to learn about a big part of Canadian history that may be gone one day. Our guide Donald was very knowledgeable. The kids loved it! Admission was for a donation and the tours were very well priced.

If you're a railfan, a guided tour of the Canadian Pacific Railway 7-car 1929 Trans-Canada Limited collection in Cranbrook needs to be on your bucket list. The display of what the Golden Age of Rail Travel looked like for the well-to-do is remarkable not only for the equipment on display, but for the quality of the ongoing restoration. Our tour guide was excellent - he's been there for many years. I wish I would have recorded it.

Six adults and four children (under 8) took the short 20 minute train tour. Our guide was very interesting and knowledgeable, he was able to keep the kids interest even though the tour was designed for adults. The trains are in the process of being restored but you can still see the designs and imagine what it was like to ride trains 100 years ago. The museum itself was small but fascinating. The little ones loved the model train, spending 20 minutes starting and watching the trains circle. I liked the quilt with its escaped elephant story, as well as the medical cabinet with its old equipment.

Amazing! We learned so much in only 45 minutes. There are a few different tours to choose from, ranging from 20min to 1h45m, so make sure you have time for a tour, because it is definitely worth it, and it is the only way to see the trains.

Great place that has come such a long way in the thirty+ years I've watched it grow. It's a gem that shines the history not only of the railway itself but the whole reason Crambrook exists as a city (and it rich history) as opposed to why the population explosion did not happen at Fort Steele. Numerous displays both older and newer are here. The major attraction is not only the ball room but the train cars themselves. Guided tours can take you through the train cars for a more intimate experience. Easily spending 3 hours here if you want to delve into the historic information.
