★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got our first Christmas turkey here this year and it was hands down THE BEST turkey we have ever purchased. The bird was prepared so well; so clean, plucked to perfection, and looked so healthy and plump. Beautiful bird to serve for Christmas dinner and tasted just as delicious. Look forward to purchasing other meat products here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quality of meats is always excellent - especially the pork and lamb, but the beef is quite good too. Also, because they butcher whole carcasses, you can get the more 'exotic' cuts here without any trouble. Staff are helpful and will cut for you if you don't see what you're looking for. Also, if you're into the 'fifth quarter' and nose to tail cuisine, you can get your hearts, kidneys, tongues, etc. here. Lamb's kidneys are especially good.
Smoked products, sausages, meatballs, jerky, etc., all great too!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have been purchasing all of our meat products here for years now, and have never had a complaint to make. This is a local family butchering locally raised, in a responsible manner, livestock. When they do import from the outside it is to their own stringent quality levels. THIS is the ONLY place I will buy pork products because I know what the animals have been fed and how they are cared for. The butchering is done onsite, and you can watch it happen through a huge window. If what you are looking for is not on display, ask for it, it is probably possible. The folks are very pleasant and want to help, they obviously love their jobs too. My reccommendations? Any of the sausages are great, try the double smoked bacon, and the pork butt steaks are superb ... but nothing beats one of their rib-eye steaks on the grill.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered 2 pieces of peameal bacon. We roasted one of them last night. Now keep in mind I'm previously from Ontario and I think Ontario has the best pork. Anyways, this peameal was almost inedible, in fact my wife wouldn't eat it and most likely throwing the second one in the garbage unless I could donate it. It was very tough and fatty. We loved roasting a peameal in Ontario, we will keep searching for something comparable

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic pork selection! One of the few places that sells pork WITH the rind (cracklings) on and easily worth the trip. They are quite happy to French a rib roast and will present it beautifully. A delightful store for any carnivore!
